Summary: A wonderful seasonal collection!
Review: I love this DVD as I am quite the connoisseur of Halloween specials; I can't get enough of them! Hey Arnold's 'Arnold's Halloween' strikes the jackpot with its War of the Worlds inspired storyline; it's sufficiantly moody and fun. Rugrats' 'Curse of the Werewuff' is a new entry into Nick's Halloween canon and a welcome one at that. A show that has become too precious as of late, this stops before going to far with its own "cuteness". I still prefer thir original Halloween episode 'Candy Bar Creep Show', but 'Werewuff' is still highly enjoyable! The Fairly Odd Parent's 'Scary GodParents' is equally hip and funny and SpongeBob SquarePants' 'Scaredy Pants' is perfect. Only the strange inclusion of two non-Halloween related Rocket Power stories stops me forom giving this a five-star rating; they have a Halloween epsiode so why wasn't it included? Their two entires seem pointless and only one is anywhere near being holiday themed. With so many great Halloween epsiodes left off the DVD, one has to wonder at this choice.

Summary: An OK release- BUT WHERE IS IZ?
Review: OK, this is a good DVD release, these episodes are usually only shown once or twice a year. But on The SpongeBob segmeent, they only show the first cartoon from the Halloween special, "Scaredy-Pants." They didn't release the second cartoon, "I was a Teenage Gary." However, both episodes can be found on the SpongeBob DVD entitled "Halloween."
The Rugrats episode is just like any other episode, cute, pointless, with terrible grammar. I personally am not a huge fan of the show, but this episode is reasonably watchable.
The Rocket Power episode isn't even a Halloween special! Its just two slightly "spooky" cartoons that air reguraly on Nickelodeon. But I hate this show in general, it tries to be contemporary. It tries to be cool. But its not, and the characterzs are unlikeable. It seems like these days, all you have to do if you want kids to like something, you throw in some skateboards, Xtreme sports, and Totally hip "lingo," and call it awsome, or "totally cool." This is why I absolutely despise this show.
But However, the "Hey Arnold" segment of this DVD truly redeems it. Hey arnold is a good show with interesting characters and stories, funny ironic jokes, and instantly makes it a usually-overlooked classic. The halloween episode is a good one, mostly parodying The whole "War of the Worlds" radio incident.
Now for the Best episode, the Fairly Oddparents cartoon, "Scary Godparents." This is a great show. The jokes are so funny. Funnier than SpongeBob or Hey Arnold. We're talking "Simpsons," or "Futurama" funny. This episode is a particularly good one too.

So thats the DVD. No good Special features, The SpongeBob cartoon can be found on another DVD, so really, Hey Arnold and Fairly Oddparents are the only good ones that are exclusive to this DVD. But one question- WHERE IS INVADER ZIM? Nick also neglected him on the Christmas DVD too. IZ is probably the best Nicktoon out there, and it also has a great Halloween special to offer. Despite thousands of petitions to put Zim on DVD, They just won't. They don't show it on TV anymore either- except if you have digital cable. The closest that they've done to putting it on DVD is "Nickstravaganza 2," A Nicktoons Sampler that's only available at Wallmart for a limited time.

So, that's the DVD. Not that great, No IZ, but I'd buy it just for the FOP and HA episodes.
