Summary: Worse DVD Player
Review: A DVD player that never play a DVD. It will stop playing after one minute. There is no support number to contact any one in this world. Substandard DVD Player. I tried contacting support desperately and at the end throwed out and bought a new one.. reliable one.

Summary: It quit working after two weeks!
Review: After two weeks of great performance it just stopped working. I put in a disc and the TV screen just displays "READ" forever. I tried it with several discs with the same result. Funny, I bought this unit because of all the great reviews. I guess it's just a crap-shoot with cheap electronics from little-known manufacturers! At least Amazon is willing to give me a refund!

Summary: A good, solid, entry level media machine
Review: I bought this as a second player for DVD movies, CD Audio, and MP-3 music discs burned on my Mac. It will also play Kodak Picture CDs or JPEG pics you burn on a CD.
So far, I have been very happy with this player for the price. It has all of the video and audio outputs I need, and it actually has some cool features found only on higher-end models.
First off, let me say that this is a LARGE component. It won't fit on top of a medium sized TV (around 26-27 inches). The entire cabinet is real metal, and has a solid feel. So what it lacks in compactness, it makes up for in sturdy construction-so sturdy that my Technics Pro Logic Receiver is sitting on top of it! The buttons on the front are minimal, but well arranged and useful. Unlike some of the other "economy" brands Cyberhome does give you an LED display on the front of the machine to see what chapter or track you're playing. The remote has glow in the dark buttons that-while not exactly intuitive-are logically arranged. The picture quality is quite good through the S-Video and Component Video hookups. By choosing the "SETUP" button and then navigating to the "VIDEO" menu you can actually adjust the brightness and contrast output of this player. In fact, it is ESSENTIAL you do so, as this DVD player seems to have the brightness and contrast values set to "LOW" at the factory. Having this feature is a nice plus.
What does the player lack? No Dolby decoding built-in, but it will let you output to an analog or Dolby digital receiver. It does seem to take longer to read and start playing a DVD than other players, but that's minor.
To sum up, if you want an affordable first DVD player, look at this one instead of the really cheap APEX. This one looks better and plays better. You won't find one better for the price, and may end up buying two for the price of one namebrand.

Summary: Incredible value!
Review: I bought this DVD player after my [$$] Sony DVP-560 kicked the bucket (and Sony wants [$$] to fix all DVDs). For the price of this unit I was expecting a no frills DVD player. What I got was shocking -- this DVD can do more than my Sony, at just under a 5th of the cost (and only half the cost of a repair)! It has outstanding video and audio quality, can play MP3s, has component video and s-video out, includes component video cables, has dolby digital and DTS out (via digital coax), and even has a glow-in-the-dark remote. While I have not had it for 2 years yet so I can't say for sure that it will outlast my Sony, I can say that it appears to be made very solid and the odds are very good that it will last longer. Even if it doesn't, at this price I can afford to get another if it does fail. The bottom line: this is a great deal and I am very satisfied with my purchase. If you are fed up with the poor quality of the bigger brand names, this is the one to get. It also comes in black.

Summary: Excelent Value
Review: I own this DVD as well as 3 other DVD's but this is probably the best value per dollar. It could only get better if it had progresive scan. Picture quality is excelent and has all the necesary digital outputs, as well as analog outputs, also it can play all the formats you may want like MP3 and VCD.

Summary: What a DVD Player
Review: I've wanted a second DVD player for the TV in our bedroom for a long time but didn't want to spend a fortune. When I saw this CyberHome DVD on your site and noticed it had all the same features as players twice the price I couldn't resist. It's been great to curl up on cold nights and be able to watch movies in bed!

Summary: Cool toys
Review: My CD player was on the fritz and I haven't been able to get my VCR to work forever, so I bit the bullet and started shopping around for a DVD player that I could also use for my music CDs. The audio and video quality is surprisingly good and the CyberHome DVD looks cool too!
