Summary: Don't buy this DVD player
Review: I had this player for 2 months and it is already giving me problems. The picture quality is terrible. Green lines appear across the screen when a movie is playing. The player was great for the first 2 months. Good luck if you decide to take a chance with this player.

Summary: sd-2900 great for the money!
Review: I just got the sd-2900 dvd player today and removed my old rca unit. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
The picture is even clearer(I could not believe that was possable) and the sound is sharper.
For a under $$$ dvd player. This thing kicks ...!

Summary: Great value
Review: I've had this DVD player for several months now and have had no problems with it. The picture and sound quality are great and the hook up is very easy. I use this player for my bedroom and do not have a home theatre system in there, but this player works fine. My only beef is that it does not play special features for certain dvds, like Memento. Otherwise, a great buy

Summary: (3.5) Quite good
Review: This player played all the cd/dvd types I've ever thrown into it, and god knows I tried a lot, but it has some logical flaws. Right now, I remember three of them :

-The cd doesn't read mp3 files that are stored in more than one level of subdirectories.

-I never saw any screen saver, even if the feature is fully documented and activated.

-You don't have to access menus often, but when you have, it's an horrible experience.

However, the good points are compensating for these minor problems:

-It reads the cds in the right order:
If you make a VCD and add some MP3 files on it for example, the player will read the VCD in priority, not as some other dvd players of my friends.

-Multiple types of CD/DVD modes:
As explained earlier.

-Many connection types:
You got all the plugs you need on the back of this magic box.

-restarting feature: if you press power while an audio CD or DVD is playing, when you restart it, you come back to the same point, But i guess most DVD players have this.

All in all , a good buy , I'm not disappointed with mine.
