Summary: Excellent, definitely a great education video
Review: A great education video for counting, very interactive and eye catching for kids. My son that is 2.5 years old loves it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must have for your little one's video library!
Review: A true classic! Both my 16mo. old and my 2 1/2 yr. old love this video. Very educational and sweet story. Only drawback is that Mom and Dad may be humming the tunes long after the tape is over!

Summary: Best counting video I've seen
Review: Best counting video I've seen. My daughters learned how to count watching this video

Summary: Great learning tool!
Review: I am really anti-videos for young children, theoretically! However, I have found this video to be very helpful in getting my 2 year old to understand the concept of counting. She could count to 20 before, but now she counts out everything from goldfish to babies! and she does it correctly! She loves this video and I don't mind her watching it! It is very sweet and likeable and has some catchy songs. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Sweet, Innocent, Simple, Captivating...A Great Learning Tool
Review: I bought this DVD for my 2yr old son, who had recently taken an interest in counting. I taught him to count to 10, and ever since he has been watching this video, he counts up to 16 now by himself! He really enjoys watching the movie, as does my 6-month-old daughter. I personally enjoy the DVD and its innocence. I like that it is simple yet captivating for them. It really holds their attention. I tend to be pretty particular when it comes to movies for my children, making sure they don't teach any bad habits and that it doesn't teach anything contrary to the Bible. I was very pleased to see there wasn't any reference to magic, fairies, etc, as many things tend to include such references these days. I am going to try out other Richard Scarry DVDs and hope that I will be just as pleased with them, too...

Summary: My 22 mos old knows how to count thanks to this video
Review: I bought this video for my son because I know many people who bought this video after it came out in 1989. It really is a wonderful learning video for children. It is timeless and will last for many years while many others could be dated. It emphasizes the numbers and children really do learn. My son surprised me when the little girl Lilly was showing her father how to count to 10 by counting along with her. He knows how to count to 15 really well and now we are working up to 20.

Summary: Trite Tripe
Review: i do not agree that richard scarry has produced the best counting video ever. in fact, i find the video offensive and poorly done. the characters are one-sided and non-human. the songs are passionless, the bunnies are poor actors, and i find the farmer creepy. also, since my son has begun watching this video, he has voiced to me that he believes that he is a bunny himself, and that i am a mommy bunny. this must be stop. i believe that richard scarry has a hidden agenda, and that my son has fallen victim to this agenda. i would also like to bring to your attention that i suspect that the main character bunny is addicted to drugs. the next time that you view the film, look in her eyes! are these the types of role models that you want for your children?

i would rather my child not learn to count to twenty at all than to be subjected to this video.

Summary: Sweet little movie that will teach your child to count!
Review: I had though about renting this movie many times but always passed because I just thought it looked sort of generic and outdated. Our library was having a sale of old videos so I ended up buying this one because it was too cheap to pass up. Boy am I glad I did!

My daughter isn't even two yet and can count to 15! She loved this video from the very first time she watched it. It is very very simple, from the animation to the songs. But myself I find this refreshing. I get so tired of watching choppy overproduced kids shows, especially when they are for the younger kids. I find this one just very sweet and to the point. I know my daughter agrees because she asks to watch it everyday and walks around telling everyone it's her "counting day."

I do have to say that like someone else mentioned in another review mom's and dad's beware. Yes you will be humming and singing these little songs long after you've pressed the stop button!!! But I find that happens in most videos and at least these songs aren't too terribly annoying. My only complaint which isnt' really even a complaint is that I found the main bunny's voice to be a bit high pitched. Maybe it's just me but sometimes it really gets to me.

But that's really nothing to complain about when everything else is so good about this video. Pick it up for your little one and I'm sure they'll be counting in no time!

Summary: Highly Recommend
Review: I have 21 month old twins and they both love this video.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: So cute, sweet. Enjoyable to watch. Much more than most.
Review: I love this video! It has sweet songs and characters. Someone with actual talent must have written the songs. I can hardly stand to watch the leap frog videos because of the horrible song lyrics.
The characters are adorable and the setting is calm and not flashy. A little rabbit walks along through town and counts things up to 20. As she counts it clearly shows the numbers. It keeps my very active 2 year old enthralled and learning.
