Summary: Yet another waste of plastic
Review: Again with the annoying Kids WB version. The least they could do is add Kero's Corner in the DVD (like how they broadcasted the Nelvana version here in Canada). The extras is one pathetic character summary. I said it before, I'll say it again... the subtitled version may not be as great compared to other DVD titles, but its definitely worth the few more dollars to this load of blashpemous crap.

Review: Again, this wasn't the best of anime out there. Better than the other videos actually, but they don't explain as much as they really should, leaving many people lost. Believe it or not, Cardcaptor Sakura was meant to be a more complex series than Cardcaptors became. This was because Cardcaptors cut the important scenes and changed the dialogue too far for others. Again, I suggest buying the Japanese before you bother with the English.

Summary: Um Cardcaptor Sakura is for sale to in its uncut form
Review: i love cardcaptor sakura not cardcaptors. This would be good if it was uncut but it isn't. Uncut dubbing is the way to go. I don't have this ive seen it on tv. I did not like the edited version. When i heard about cardcaptor sakura i was so excited that i could buy the uncut version.

Summary: Personaly... This was kawaii!
Review: I thought this was nice. I like the dub, in a dubby-dub way. Dont bash this one, it was good! It featured the mirror, the dash, and the maze card. ^^' It was when Kaho first showed up.

It starts with the Mirror Card. Sakura's 'twin' starts doing things that make her friends worried for her. She then gets blamed for it by everyone, even her friends! Kero then teachers her a way to use the cards differently(Like tarrot reading!!!) Later the card lures Tori to where he falls off a cliff, literally! Soon with the help of Li she seals the card.

Then tries to seal the dash card, but Jessie(rei), her friend who runs in track competetions, takes it in as a stray kitten. It gives her speed and Sakura doesn't seal it because she is starting to win. When Li comes in the picture to make her seal the card she does, but he see's she didn't seal it because of Jessie. Then in the end Jessie uses the memory of Hopy(What she named the dash card) and wins the running competetion. (Cute SS/SL moments)

Then theres the Maze card. In the beggining it starts with a new math teacher that Li tells Sakura he is suspisiose of her. Later they get caught in a Maze while tring to get some sort of charm braclets. Madison, Mei-Ling, Sakura, and Li are in the maze together. Sakura said they should split up but Li told her "Lets do this together"(SS/SL moment!!!) so they do. Finding it imposible to get out they try everything. Finnaly the maze acts up and Mei-Lin ends up upside down somewhere else in the maze. While Sakura, Li, and Madison try to get her down they lose her. Then they see Kaho(I cant recall her english name) and Mei-Lin. Kaho shows them how to get out but by then the shop they where going to is closed. Kaho then gives them two charms. (Aww, how nices!)

Summary: The Dub is horrible!!!!!!!!!
Review: I'm a kid who loves anime. When I first saw Cardcaptors I thought it was okay. But it was missing something. It made no sense!I was thinking, " Whats going on here???". I found out that Nelvana deleted scenes, took out episodes, and changed the dialoge, names, and the story. The Japanese Version Cardcaptor Sakura, is ALOT better than "Cardcaptors". It's much happier, less about the cards, and very funny! Get the Sub!!!!!!!

Review: If you dont like the Cardcaptors dub, than I suggest you get this DVD. Though Nelvana did cut it up, this one is most like the original uncut version.

Summary: They Sell Uncut DVDs, Why Bash This One?
Review: Many people have bashed this disc because it's the TV version and the plot strays from the original. It's true, this is not the same as the uncut format. However, they sell the uncut version of Cardcaptors on DVD seperatley. This is completely seperate. It should be noted that they had to make two seperate sets of discs only because this version of Cardcaptors is edited.

Cardcaptors is the US Version of CardCaptor Sakura, as seen on Kids WB and now Cartoon Network (for a short time). This version is in English, while the uncut DVDs are Japanese with subtitles. I bought both versions because I like to see the original, and I liked the version on TV. The dubbing is done by The Ocean Group (Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Big O, Saber J Marionettes) and is done very well. Some voices you might recognize are Madison (the same as Lime from Saber J and Meifon from Angel Links) and Sakura's Brother (the same as Zechs from Gundam Wing). I also think that one of the voices of Melfina from Outlaw Star is in here as Li's girlfriend (staring in Episode 6) but I can't be certain on that. Personally I like anime dubbed and Cardcaptors is a refreshing break from ... dubs done for other series (see Escaflowne).

So if you like Anime and want to see the original, THIS IS NOT THE DISC FOR YOU. However if you saw Cardcaptors on TV and liked what you saw, I would recommend this disc. Either version, on its own, is fine for anyone of any age, however smaller children would most definetley appreciate the characters speaking in a language they can understand.

Do not be swayed by anime purists who say this version is horrible, judge for yourself.

Summary: I love Dubs!
Review: NO reason to attack dubbed anime it's pretty much the same to some degree. The original is on sale too. Stick to the version you like.

Summary: Even Small Children Hate It!
Review: Ok, once and for all, this is a horrible version of the original! The few episdoes of the original that have been dubbed are missing at least 6 minutes of original footage in some of them and have also been mixed around so that they order by the originals numbering: 8, 12, 3, 15, etc. They cut out 30 eps from the original one and left many plotlines hanging and untied. I have a bunch of younger cousins who I purchased this version for because of the original containing swears and homosexuality, but after watching they began to ask me questions all about why this and how come that and I decided it might have been better if they had seen the original.

It also upset me because the dubbers of this anime thus far have done excellent jobs on everything else they have dubbed, i.e. Outlaw Star, Big O, Saber J Marionettes and Gundam Wing. (Although I must note, for Gundam Wing, that is a friend's opinion: I've never liked Gundam much myself.)

If you are a person who doesn't mind the fact that threads of plots are not resolved and cannot deal with homosexuality and swearing: get this. If you plan on giving it to a child who is 7 or younger, go right ahead. Otherwise, go for the sub.
