Summary: {BLACK LABEL SOCIETY COMES ALIVE!}
Review: Led into battle by the premier rock guitarist of this generation, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY have quickly become the bottom line when it comes to pure, unfiltered hard rock/metal excellence. In their first - ever DVD release, BLS shows that it doesn't matter if they're on a larger - than - life arena stage (OZZFEST) or in a packed, sweaty club, the results are always monstrous.

Recorded live at Harpo's in Detriot, MI, in front of a sold out crowd of brew - swilling maniacs, Boozed, Broozed & Broken - Boned sees BLS storm through a set of hard - hitting material with ZAKK unleashing his incomprable Les Paul magic! Also in what reportedly a first, the band, crowd and crew managed to empty the club of its last drop of beer!

Witness the pummeling brewtality of this memorable evening in 5.1 digital surround sound along with brand new, ROB ZOMBIE directed video for "Stillborn," the smash hit single from the new album The Blessed Hellride...all with a beer supply as deep as their own wallets will allow.

"ZAKK and BLS deliver 100% damage & brewtality..." DIMEBAG

"There's a lot of reasons to give one's liver a serious workout...apparently, three thousand ZAKK WYLDE fans share our opinion, as evidence by their spectacular performance in Detroit last weekend." - Rollingstone.com

Summary: mdnman digs it
Review: Michael Molenda, Editor and Chief of Guitar Player Magazine. "Zakk appeals to everyone. The youth love him for his style of music he plays and our core readers respect him for being the unbelievable technician that he is. He marries both sides perfectly."
All that an idiot from Cincinnati, Ohio writes is moot. The above quote is from an experienced and educated man. To paraphrase; Ozzy once said something about "an empty can rattling the most(or loudest)". We as fans of Zakk, don't have to act in the ways of a fool. This guy and his talent are a blessing to watch,hear and if you lucky, have followed from his youth. If your not yet a Zakk fan, I dare ya... I named my son Zakk.

Summary: They Drank The Place Dry......
Review: That Harpo's Theater(the site of this concert) was renderred boozeless by the end of the night, tells you what kind of fans BLS has and what kind of music they serve up. Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde has no need to live in the Oz-man's shadow, with the brutal old school metal done in this video. Make no mistake, from the opening air raid sirens, to Zakk's guitar solo spot, this is a METAL show. And if you don't like it, there's the door. It's this kind of earnestness and workman-like attitude that more or less makes this show. Zakk's singing is less than impressive, especially on the otherwise driving "Demise Of Sanity," but he makes up for it mainly with his and drummer Craig Nunemacher's musicianship. The boozy swagger of "Born To Lose" is perfect for the band, as is the machine gun riff attack of "Bleed For Me." Unexpectedly, Zakk does sing well on the unaccompanied quiet interlude of "Spoke In The Wheel," showing he is not a one trick pony. Basically, this is a throwdown rock show caught on the fly and you'd better hang on. Extra Note: The bonus interview and studio bits on this disc are often fall down hilarious, namely one in where Zakk wears a pillow case over his head and claims to be "The Ghost Of Rock Paaasssst!" These bits definitely make this worthwhile.

Summary: Zakk Wylde Is A Guitar God
Review: This DVD / Concert footage was amazing. I was never very much into Black Label Society until my friend gave me this DVD. First off, the concert. BLS pounds out song after song flawlessly and heavily, with inbetween songs Zakk giving the crowd his words of wisdom (rock on!). Not only were the songs incredible, but watching the extremley long and technical guitar solo was and would be a lifting experience for any guitar player like myself. Second of all, the Interview. You get a great backround story from Zakk on how it all started. I love just looking at his nice Les Paul collection, personally. Third, the lesson. You get a shot at attempting to learn (try them if you dare) some of Zakk Wylde's guitar solos. While even though incredibly complex, he breaks them down so they are somewhat learnable. I enjoyed the lesson section of the DVD. The solo from Miracle Man is wonderful. Last, the bonus footage. There is all kinds of interesting stuff here, from the Japan live chapter, to Zakk and the guys as the "Ghost Of Music Past" (this is hilarious, I reccomend watching..) to just about everything you want to see.

All in all, get this if you are a BLS fan and you definetly won't be disappointed.

Summary: Amazing, simply amazing
Review: This DVD is absolutely amazing. The concert is excellent, full of Zakk's beer drinking, balls out guitar playing and BLS rocking out. The interview gives a glimpse into what drives Zakk and where he's coming from. The guitar lesson is good too, although it doesn't focus on his technique too much, it presents some good solos for all levels of players. What really sets this DVD apart from anything else is the bonus features, they're great! This DVD truly portrays everything that BLS is; Strength, Determination, Merciless, Forever.
