Summary: MILESTONE SCI-FI PIECE
Review: In this initial entry, Ripley is a Warrant Officer; in future entries she is a LT. How does that happen? Nit-picking not-with-standing, this is a seminal sci-fi adventure. Muddy, murky, and sometimes grainy, only adds to the suspense. When my sister sneaks out of that guys chest, you will be horrorified! Like our mom was. Put this on your sci-fi WISH LIST!

Summary: Alien: The Saga unfolds
Review: Director Ridley Scott have become one of the most respected men within moviemaking today. With films like Alien, Bladerunner and 1492: Conquest of Paradise, he has shown that visually stunning films with deep suspense have much to offer. Alien was his first and best movie, with its dark and terrifying atmosphere it showed the unknown side of space. Nostromo, a spaceship returning to Earth with a mineral load, suddenly changes course automatically to investigate a distress call, originating from an unknown planet. This is the beginning to a frightening meeting with an alien showing no mercy to other races. Academy award winning for its impressive visual effects. Star Trek: The Motion Picture lost its nominations in the same category to this film in 1979.

Summary: You love the fear
Review: This is another my childhood movie and nightmare. Perhaps the most realistic science fiction movie. I don't know any other creature that scares me without seeing it. If you're a fan of Sigourney you'll face with a very weak actress here but in other squals she grows up however they are copies of first one as we see in all movies.

Summary: I really enjoyed the movie
Review: I really thought it was a great movie and I would like to see the uncut version. I would like to purchase the uncut version, if any one knows where I can purchase one please e-mail me.

Summary: Novelization of the sci fi thriller.
Review: Even if you have seen the un-cut version of the movie, this novelization adds so much more to the story.

Summary: The best creature feature ever made.
Review: Alien is quite possibly one of the 5 best science fiction films of all time. The script, acting and special effects are all excellent. The suspense is awesome. This is the original monster from space that most modern movies try (unsuccessfully) to duplicate. Don't miss it.

Summary: a terrifying sci-fi movie
Review: This is the movie that started one of the most popular sci-fi series ever.A comercial space vehicle, Nosromo, and its crew investigate a distress call from an unknown world.Upon the discovery of an abandoned spaceship a crew member is attacked by an alien parasite and unintentionaly brings aboard the alien it had implanted in him. This classic movie is as terrifying today as it ever was.It features some of the most inovative ideas ever seen in science fiction/horror(the ship design, the chestburster, and the aien itself, just to name a few)and one of the most original and coolest creatures ever created.Unlike the other Alien movies in the series, which are mainly action based, this one builds on suspense, and uses it very effectivly, creating a style not used in any other movie.Outstanding special effects too, with the exception of the very end sequence, when the alien is holding on to the outside of the ship.If your planning on perchasing this movie i strongly suggest getting the widescreen version, not only because it is in widescreen, but because it has been digitally remastered in THX, which makes a world of differnce, considering this movie was made in 1979.Definatly get it.I guatanty you'll like it.(5 STARS OUT OF 5)

Summary: A terrifying alien horror flick
Review: Lock your doors, bolt your windows, turn off the lights, and snuggle under your favorite blankie. This is one of the ultimate horror flicks. A derelict spaceship sends out a misunderstood message, but the warning is found out too late. The crew of the Nostromo bring back to their ship an infected crewmate with an previously unknown life form attached to his face. Within hours of his return, an alien being springs out of his chest, an alien whom they soon find is elusive and deadly. Ripley is the only one who survives, and oddly enough also a cat, but her survival keeps you guessing until the last moments. It is a great horror film that will keep you looking in the dark corners of the room wondering if you saw something move there. END

Summary: Alien life force gets almost all humans. (ALF)
Review: Should we go down to the planet? Should we let the infected crew member back into the space shuttle? Should we expect mayhem? Of course!! this is Alien, the creature who was allowed entry by our Science Officer. But wait, they telegragh every monster scene, but who cares.

An excellent movie with great special effects (1979). Still stands up with today's Sci-Fi.

Not 4 stars, but actually 4 1/2 *

Uncle Lar END
