Summary: This Tv is the best I have ever owned.
Review: I bought this tv today from a local rental store and the picture is great. It reminds me of one of the new plasma tv screens. The sound is outstanding and its contemporary look is also another great thins. The only drawback about the tv in my opinion is the wheels on the botton. I have placed the tv on a little entertainment center and I do not know how to get the wheels off. If you are looking for a new Tv this is the one to get. Its the best.

Summary: Sure, it is cheap, but quality justifies the price
Review: I have own one of these for about 1 year now. When I first I got it, I was really happy. a big tv for less than $600 bucks. After I used it for 1 month, it stopped working. No image. Trying to find customer service number, took forever, but finally find it somewhere hidden. Called, took forever, and got one of local authorized repair center to pick up the tv. After 2 weeks of repair, got it back. Ever since, I have little problem here and there, but still exceptable, afterall, I only pay less than $600 for this. I would not buy another Apex tv. Quality is really bad in my opionion. Out of focus in the corners, color is off, and unstable sound.

Summary: BASICALLY YOU ARE BUYING A TV FOR ONE YEAR
Review: I got this tv, well the 51" GB-5108 version, (same thing), and up until today I have been extatic. Got it for 588 on a supersale last Nov, the black friday weekend. Got it delivered a few times because the first two sets weren't good. After that fiasco I was pleased with a large cheap tv with a great picture quality. Now a year has gone by and the convergence has suddenly been all messed up. Based upon reviews of these tvs, this will happen on just about all of them after 6 months to a year. If it lasts more than that, you got the needle in the haystack. Get the warranty, you will need it. Expect your tv to break on a moments notice. Honestly, KNOWING that the tv will break, you are probably better off investing in a better unit. Or buy this one cheap, get a warranty and expect to fix it every few months. Your choice.

Summary: APEX - Low $$$, Big Problems - Convergence Good Luck
Review: Okay, I bit the bullet and saved the $$$ ($627 at Sears but I had a $600 credit voucher from my MC so it cost me $27). This TV worked almost 10 months. (By some reviews 10 mo is long) Now the convergence is gone and the tech won't be able to get here for 3 weeks!!! Baaed on the other reviews, I will be lucky to get this TV working in the next few months... TIME TO DONATE TO CHARITY AND MOVE TO PLASMA.

Summary: Terrible Experience
Review: We have had our TV for a little over a year. After the first month we had to call Apex for service, well none of their contracted centers would come to our area. So finally after a couple of weeks of back and forth and hours on hold the the store we purchased from replaced our set with an identical model. Then about 10 months after the new set will turn itself off and back on again - for no apparant reason! We did get a technician out this time, but after replacing the whole circuit board it is worse than before. Now it just turns off, and you have to turn it back on yourself! Forget trying to watch a movie, you miss half the plot turning the set back on!

I do not recommend this set to anyone! I only give it one star because they don't allow us to post negative stars!

Summary: Don't buy this one.
Review: We made the mistake that many others did by purchasing this TV. Amazon maked it clear that they will not accept returns on projection TVs but it was too good of a deal for me to pass up. So, just remember, if even one of these reviews is right & you are stuck with a lemon, you can't send it back to Amazon. We bought ours from Amazon in August. The delivery was quick but the picture looked like an hour glass and the inside of the screen had the same handprints all over it like everyone else complains about. Good luck to anyone trying to get through to customer service. After literally several hours on the phone (thank God I have a speakerphone), we finally did get through and, yes they were cordial but just told me to call the local repair shop. The repair shop eventually came out, couldn't fix it, eventually took it back to their shop, eventually got the parts from Apex, eventually "fixed it" but after getting it back 2+ months after we first got it, the convergence still isn't right, the picture is distorted, all the buttons on the remote don't work (even when it is on TV mode), there's absolutely no difference between watching it using high-end coax cables, component cables or RCA cables. Don't waste your money on this brand... of course, if you want to buy mine...
