Summary: Amazing Device
Review: It'll change the way you enjoy music. Buy one today and you'll never understand how you made out without one. The 10GB version's the best value if your music will fit.

Summary: Holy . . . (faints)
Review: AHHHHHHHHHHHH AN AMAZING THING. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THERES NO KEYBOARD OR MIC SO YOU CANT INPUT TEXT OR MAKE AUDIO NOTES. BUT DAAAAAAMN THIS IS AWESOME. Oh and another bad thing is that if you use a windows computer, less songs can be stored:2000. With the new music format on macs you can hold 2500. 2000 is still a lot of songs though. Dont let those small things make you not buy it though, this thing is AWESOME. ALL THOSE SONGS, GAMES, A CALENDAR, CLOCK, TEXT PAD, ITS FAST, THE SONGS ARE REAL EASY TO GET TO. . . That reminds me: If you have 2500 songs on your IPOD, and you wanted to find 1, you'd be able to find it REAL FAST cause of the browsing system.

Summary: iPod is not good.
Review: The iPod is OK (3 stars) but Apple has terrible support and customer service especially for iPods and more especially for Windows-based iPods. An example-Apple is deleting suggestions/complaints for iPods from its discussion boards. Further, the iPod has many formidable competitors (cheaper and better or similar features, size, and style) coming out including the Philips HDD100.

Summary: It's No Mini-Disc Player!
Review: My Sony mini-disc player died after a short life (moment of silence). So when I got a new job, the toy of choice was an iPod. What a difference!

The bad as compared to the mini-disc player is that the iPod doesn't have an LCD display remote control. So with so many songs, it's hard to blindly navigate if your iPod is stashed away. Hopefully Apple will create such a remote. Otherwise, it wins over the mini-disc player hands down!

The new mini-discs hold 5 hours of music. 2 years ago that was a big deal. My 20 Gig iPod has 17 hours of music already and I am using merely 390 MB. That's less than a fraction of its capacity. The iPod's looking at me like, "When are you gonna REALLY add some music?"

The 3 lines of music data display the song title, artist, and even album! And the sound...oh boy. I feel like I'm at a concert! Excellent sound! You can also tweak the sound with the equalizer.

Once they make that LCD remote to make navigating easier, it'll be perfect.

Summary: Used but better than the iPod Shuffle
Review: My very first iPod, a used 3rd Generation 10 GB model, arrived today and it has the marks of a used device but it works fine. I reset it and wiped it's memory with the iPod Updater software. It did not take much time for the iPod to grab all the songs and MP3s that are in my iTunes database and copy them onto it's micro hard drive. I got this iPod for $175.00 from a seller on Amazon Market Place, with $5.00 shipping.

My entire iTunes library uses up 1.7 GBs of space on my 10 GB iPod. The 1 GB iPod Shuffle would have been inadequate from the get-go and no display window and no ability to select albums, artist, and playlist would have been a huge bummer.

I am really amazed at how intuitive the click-wheel is. I figured out how to do everything in minutes and I 'm not very smart.

I may find the iPod to be more of a benefit in ways I did not anticipate. I'm glad the iPod Shuffle had a huge back-oder delay that motivated me to cancel my iPod Shuffle order and look for other alternatives. I like the 10 GB capacity, the controls, and the price.

Summary: Small but great
Review: I have one of these and I listen to it everywhere I go, great sound quality and good battery life. I have run out of space however, so I would recommend a newer one with a larger hard drive.
