Summary: Not bad
Review: This is a very exceptional camera for the money that I paid for it. It takes digital stills (digital picture) and records A/V. This is an excellent camera for anybody that would like to make home movies. And the playback mode is easy to use, and fun to watch with friends. However, the software bundle that it comes with is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. If it wasn't for Windows Movie Maker, I would've thrown this camera so far that it wouldn't even be funny. If you do get this camera, all you need to put on your computer is the Mega DV Manager, and than save the files to a folder so you can access them from Movie Maker. I also noticed that both pictures and video's are very dark. I have found no way to this point to brighten the pictures up. Another thing I have noticed is that the video on playback is very "boxy" which is the low resolution. Even on the high resolution, it's almost the same. Simple bells and whistles make this camera a good camera for teens and young adults. If you want a better picture though, buy somthing else. But overall, it's a good buy.

Summary: Excellent value for money.
Review: The 2 MP camera is real - without a flash, pictures taken in dark settings don't turn out well, but for $90 I can forgive the absence of a flash.Video quality is good. It's a bit surprising that a 1280x960 resolution camera only records video at 320x240x10fps, but then again, based on converting video of different framerates and sizes on a PC, the power necessary to compress video is much more than one can expect to find in a chip inside this small camera. The video which it does record turns out well. Sound quality is fair, but even having it on a digital camera device is a bonus. It's mono sound, not stereo, but it turns out quite well with the microphone built-in on front of the camera. Playback is similar in quality to recording, using a single built-in speaker on the side, but it's good enough to accurately portray what you recorded. The LCD screen is nice. Although only 1.4" diagonal, it's enough to preview what you've shot. The built-in menu system is intuitive and easy to use, requiring only a few buttons. If you get this camera, do get a CompactFlash card. I picked up a 256MB card for about $50, able to store about an hour of video, or about 2.5 hours of audio. Also get rechargeable batteries - as with all digital camera equipment, batteries drain rapidly (a few hours use or less with the LCD on can drain them). The LCD screen can be turned off during use to conserve battery time. Summary: a very nice package for the price. With a flash this camera would compare well with digital cameras in the $200 range. Sound and video capture boost this way ahead of other similarly priced cameras.

Summary: sweet mini cam
Review: This camcorder is a great 3 in 1 deal and gives great quality. This camcorder also gives great sound recordings. You can take the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. You may need to get a cf camcorder card but otherwise this is the greatest camcorder ever made in a small package in a great deal.

Summary: Use it for fun casual outings, not for the important stuff
Review: Yes, this is a cheesy cheap little camcorder, digital camera, and voice recorder. But I've been having a lot of fun with it. The image quality is low, but fine for my purposes. It doesn't do well in low light, so don't expect to use it for recitals, graduations, or weddings. Save it for those casual times when you want to toss it in your pocket or purse and use it at a family picnic, zoo or a playground. It's very easy to carry around and use just for a few minutes at a time, no bulky bags or set-up hassles. I'm going to take a lot of short videos of the kids, put them on CDs and send them to the grandparents.
It is very easy to download the photos & videos. I purchased a Sandisk 256mb compact flash card and battery charger from Compuplus (online) to go along with the Aiptek. I have a much better digital camera that I use for serious occasions or artwork. When I start enjoying watching family videos, I'll go out and buy one of those serious expensive digital camcorders.

Review: THIS IS THE BEST CAMERA/DV PLAYER YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR AT THIS PRICE!! I PAID $119.00 AT FRY'S ELECTRONICS BUT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY CAM EVEN AT THAT PRICE. EXCELLENT!!!!!

Summary: Such a small camera with good qualities
Review: This camera has good qualities and some bad ones too. I like the fact it can record audio, video, and take pictures. The memory on it is small if you want to take a good number of decent quality pictures but if you get a memory card you can increase this. The batteries get eaten up fast but ONLY if you decide to use the LED screen and there is a switch to turn it off. It has a nice tripod and the software does not work well but you only need to really install one or two of the programs they give you. One of the worst things about the camera is it has no flash. I dont know why they left this out. My guess is a flash would eat up the batteries even more. Pictures taken in decnet light and outdoors in the day time come out well. You can always increase the brightness of your pictures on the computer when you edit your photos. Its small and you can fit it easily in your pocket. Perfect to carry around with you. One thing I dont like is the annoying noise it makes when it turns on. I wish I could disable this but you cannot. Over all this camera is good for basic picture taking and voice recording. The video is not super but it is good in well lit areas. If your aim is a ... camera for everyday non-important picture taking get this one. If you need pictures taken in night time or in buildings go for one with a flash, you will get better results.

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: It looks a nice camera but DON'T waste your money and don't waste your time. It is impossible to get a sharp picture with this camera. Besides, if you are able to find a way to make the camera work in connection with you computer, you will have a very bad web camera. I looked through all their tech support, but couldn't find anything useful. I sent a message to the technical support they never answer my questions. I'm very disappointed and I will NEVER, EVER buy anything from Aiptek again.

Review: don't waste your money on this! i haven't even heard of this company, but they really should consider improving this camera. the quality is bad, and dark. just looking at the lcd screen makes my eyes hurt. when hooked up to the computer, however bright your light is in your room, it's really dark and you have to toggle with the controls on a photoshop software in order to make the picture decent. i don't think that's worth it. and sometimes it doesn't even work, even if you do try to fix it in a photoshop program. and it has an annoying beeping sound when you turn it on and take pictures. you should seriously reconsider, if you're thinking of buying this item. unless you're extremely careful with it, and you don't mind the bad quality, then i guess it's okay if you buy it. but i wouldn't suggest taking professional pictures with it. by the way, it broke by the second week that i had bought it. it must've gotten jostled in my purse or something, but it refused to turn on after a while, and when it did, it kept taking pictures by itself.

Summary: Looks amazing for the price
Review: I'm a 10 year old kid who is intrested in buying a good digital camera. This seems like the perfect thing. Features include 1.3 MEGApixels, LCD(or is it LED) screen, built in digital voice recorder, I could go on forever. This little baby seems like the perfect choice for me. I'm trying to buy one on eBay for chaper so anyone who wants to follow in my footsteps may do so. Thanks for reading this.

Summary: DON'T EXPECT TO CONTACT ANYONE AT AIPTEK THOUGH!!
Review: The product and performance is 10,000 times better than the business. I lost my USB cable and have been trying to get a replacement for over a week. I tried to order is on line but get notification that the Purchase and the Accessories pages are FORBIDDEN!!! ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED!!
I have called daily and no one responded to any of my voice messages. Finally got though to someone and was told that no one can take an order on the phone and I had to wait for the site to be upgraded. HE didn't know how many days it would take -- SO - I can't download any PICS until they decide to upgrade. Guess this camera will end up in the 'mistake' trash can.
