Summary: A lot of camera for the $$$
Review: We bought this little camera for my daughter's 18th birthday present so that she would have a more up to date camera to take to college in the fall. It has certainly proved to be a neat, small, feature-packed little camera that takes exceptional photos. You do not have to be an accomplished photographer to enjoy it. I have recommended one of these for my dad to replace his old and broken Minolta.

Summary: very pleased
Review: We had another camera which was ranked as a top camera and turned out not to be happy with it. When we lost that camera, we wanted to find a camera that was easy to use and took good quality pictures. We read the reviews on Amazon and decided on this camera. We have just received about 5 rolls of film back and are very pleased with the quality of the pictures both inside and outside. It is very easy to use and light weight. I would definitely recommend it!

Summary: Great Features and Price = Great Value
Review: We have been through several rolls of film, all with good results, indoors and out. The camera is very easy to use in the automatic point & shoot mode and I'm pleased with the availability of the additional settings provided (e.g. zoom, flash options, redeye reduction, auto timer, etc.). I especially like that the camera shutter has a Bulb mode for taking extended exposure shots. I will give it a try with some astrophotography....

The camera quality appears to be good and there were no defects noted. Comsumers Union has indicated that Pentax cameras have a lower "frequency of repair" than many other major brands (which is good). We recommend this camera.
