Summary: Best camara I have ever owned
Review: After years of fooling with ditagal camaras I desided to go back to the basics. I owned one of these a few years ago, but I gave it away to my Father when I bought a new ditagal. My pictures were never the same so I went back to SLR with this great camara. Right away, there was a huge diffrence. It is even better the second time around.
My only complant is the flimsy tripode, but luckly I had an old one. I recomend this for anyone wheater you are a newbie or a pro.
Great camara. Don't wait! Buy it now.

Summary: Love it so far!
Review: Even though my wife gave me this camera for Christmas, I did the research on the prices so that I would get the most out of my gift. I could not find all the stuff included in this kit anywhere else for under [PRICE]. I always liked the shots I got with my other cameras, but what great pics this one produces (this is my first SLR camera). Lots of settings to play and experiment with. Also, look closely at the picture of the lens. It is a 28 x 90, not the 35 x 80 that is advertised. Just try to find that lens with this body for this price anywhere else. The 28 makes a BIG difference for your indoor shots. I hope I don't have the problems Craig Prater wrote about in his review. I know a few people who also own this model and have not had a problem, so HOPEFULLY, his cameras problem was a fluke. I've shot many rolls since Christmas and love the quality. I'll keep my fingers crossed at the year and a half mark.

Summary: Excellent Camera
Review: I am the mother of two young children. I wanted an SLR camera that provided me with more options and better pictures that my point and shoot has. I shopped for months before choosing one that I liked. Canon has a reputation for producing the best. I am very pleased with my Rebel G. I especially like the quartz date option. It is easy to use for a beginner and the quality is great. I highly recommend this camera for ease, quality, and value.

Summary: So nice I bought it twice
Review: I bought the Rebel G nearly 2 years ago and loved it immediately. I took it on a 16-day trip to Great Britain a year ago, and unfortunately lost the camera and all my undeveloped film on the way home. I was heartbroken, but the pictures were replaced by those taken by others on the trip, and I went out and bought the same terrific camera again. The pictures are so clear, the metering is very accurate, and it's comfortable to hold and use. Having a camera this good encourages me to take more pictures than I did with my old point & shoot.

Summary: Great camera!
Review: I bought this camera about 2 weeks ago, and I must say, you cannot take a bad picture with it. Leave it in full auto mode, and the computers do their thing. Or, once your comfortable with it and feel like experimenting, try it in a semi-auto or full manual mode! Very easy to use! Just pick it up and start shooting!

Summary: I love this little Camera !!
Review: I bought this camera specially for learning professional photography, the Canon EOS Rebel G Date gave me more than I expected. Its light weight body and comfortable design makes it ideal for holding steady in those low shutter speed shots and overall carrying, my first roll was amazing! the colors were vivid and the subjects very sharp, I couldn't believe a beginner like me took those proffesional-looking pictures so easily. I definitively recommend the Canon EOS Rebel G

Summary: Bought a month ago
Review: I bought this kit at a higher price but I still love it. It's a good starter to an "amateur-serious" photographer. The settings are easy to learn and fun to play with. I've just bought a 70mm-300mm lens and wide-angle lens to do more experimentation.

Summary: Great Gift!
Review: I gave this camera to my sister for her high school graduation. She has already shot about 10 rolls of film in two months. All the pictures have come out crystal clear regardless of who took the pictures. She's still learning how to use all the options, but using the automatic flash and focus hasn't lessened her joy.

Summary: Good, low price SLR
Review: I had a Rebel X (without built in flash) with a couple of Sigma lenses (28-70 f/2.8-4 and 70-210 f/4-5.6UC) and a 50mm f/1.8 Canon lens. This was stolen from my car. After the insurance paid off, I ended up having to get a Rebel G, which is extremely similar, except it does have the built in flash, and some circuitry for some fancy external flash.
I love this little camera! It shot at least thirty rolls a year with it for the past three years. The one thing that makes the camera perfect is the BP-8 battery pack. Adds about 1" to the bottom for a better fit in my large hands. Now I also can use 4 AA batteries.
