Summary: Wish it lasted longer
Review: I love the features on this camera. I love the weight, the cost, the lenses and the photo quality. One *big* problem. It broke down during my son's 3rd birthday party. The camera was only a year and a half old. It cost me $ to repair it. I can't recommend a product with this kind of reliability.

Summary: Not satisfied with this camera
Review: I purchased this camera in April 2002, and I loved the initial rolls of film developed. I have twins and needed an automatic camera so I would not miss important shots. In the first few months, the pictures were sharp with vivid colors and I was extremely satisfied with the camera. In July, the pictures started to develop a gray hue and it was barely noticeable until September when it was evident there was a problem. Looking back at my photo album, I now see the gradual grayness in the photos. I sent it in for repair, as Canon honored the warranty. It took a couple of weeks turn around time. However, the very first roll after repair developed with very dark shadows and the flash was operating! Unfortunately, the camera has been sent again for repairs. I hope Canon will send me a new one because I do believe I bought a lemon.

Summary: Not quite the 'deal' that it appears.
Review: I realized this is a pretty old model, so the price was pretty attractive to me. I liked the idea that I would not need to shop around for the basic gadgets too. However, both the camera bag and tripod have obviously been replaced by cheaper alternatives in the kit that I received. Usually when substitutions occur they are for equivalent or better products. Not in this case.
Also, I notice that the flash (built-in, pop-up) is really only good for fill-in flash - I had to borrow a "full size" flash to take any serious low-light pictures. Thankfully it does include a hot-shoe as well as the pop-up!
One positive point to balance my overall almost disappointed rating, is the lens that was shipped with the kit. It was a 28-90mm rather than the advertised 28-80mm. I'm not sure if the quality is any better/worse, but the extra 'range' is a nice touch.
Will probably try to write an update after I've had chance to really use it over the holidays.

Summary: great
Review: I started to use this camera the day I recieved it and it works great. The pictures that I took with it were so clear and sharp. I especially like how easy it is to use. What I liked the most was that I didn't have to pay a lot to get a great camera. Plus it came with all those accessories. I would recommend this, or any other Canon product for everyone

Summary: A very good first SLR
Review: If you are buying a SLR for the first time and want to play around and with less money this is a sure bet! I have it for 4 years and it has taught me very valuable lessons. I now use it as an extra camera body since I got my EOS 3 2 years back.
Rebel is tough and light. Once I had the whole camera drenched with water in a storm that dumped an inch of water in an hour. I though my camera will be usless. Well all I did was kept it in sun for a week and its functioning well! No problems at all.

Rebel may not have all the bells and whistles that a professional camera might havet but it does a very good job.
Invest in a good lens also with the camera this will be useful to get some awesome photos.

Summary: I love it!
Review: This camera is great! This is my first SLR camera and I love it, it's so easy to use. You can say goodbye to those blurry pictures with this camera, I have had it since November 2002 and have not had one blurry or red eye picture since!

Summary: Great camera!
Review: We were taking awesome pictures within minutes with this great camera. One thing that takes some getting used to is you have to press the "shoot" button HALFWAY down to auto focus - then press down completely to shoot. A bit weird - but after a few rolls I am sure it will be second nature.
