Summary: Good for a portable - but can't push a larger system
Review: I saw a lot of good reviews for this item, the price was right so I tried it out. It took about 5 minutes to determine this player was no match for the Sony Discman I was replacing. It just can't push the way my old unit did. Will keep searching for a better product that fits my needs.

Summary: Great price but not all it's hyped up to be
Review: I was looking for a CD player to take to the gym. After reading nearly everyone's reviews of this product, I thought I had found the perfectly-priced item. This is a great-looking and great-sounding player, but there are some drawbacks: 1) It takes 40 seconds to load the anti-skip function, and once it's loaded, you can't so much as skip a song, then you have to re-load. 2) Since I'm using this at the gym I use the anti-skip function most of the time, and it appears that is the main reason for short battery life-- I've gone through 3 sets of batteries in about 2 weeks. 3) The anti-skip function just isn't fool-proof. Even when the player is snuggly in my neoprene waist-pack (and I'm not usually wearing the waist pack, but hanging it over the bar of the treadmill, etc.), the vibration from the equipment causes the player to skip, just long enough to get annoying. Sure, I can stand in one place and shake the player all I want, and it won't skip, but this doesn't seem to hold true in real-life situations. But, one must consider the price. You can spend 3x as much for a Sony or Panasonic claiming the same anti-skip features, and probably not get any better of a product. Stick with this one.

Summary: Don't buy this piece of [crap].
Review: I wish I bought an actual piece of crap so I wouldn't spend the whole day trying to figure out why it doesn't work.
My CD player worked only 4 times out of the 12 times I tried to use it (I've owned it for only 24 hours)! When I press 'play' NOTHING happens. It doesn't matter if I'm using batteries, AC, or DC adaptors. But if you wait a few hours the Koss decides it wants to work again-- grrrrr...
Just pay the money and get a Panasonic.

Summary: Doesn't Get Better Than Koss!
Review: It took me a while to find out about KOSS. I tried Sony and Panasonic and even GPX(boy was THAT a mistake!). Then I found KOSS. I bought the green version of this model first, and I fell in love with it the minute I heard it. I listened to it every day, until about a month later the headphones wire got caught on something and when I pulled on it, not knowing what it was, the unit detatched from the headphones and fell on the floor and broke. I went back online to buy it again, and they were out of stock, so I bought this one. I found out that it was even BETTER than my old one.

Pros: *Absolutely NO skipping *Headphones and unit both deliver crisp clear sound *Reads all CD-R discs and compact discs *Light *Awesome design *Car adapter *cheap

Cons: *Eats up batteries like crazy

If you want an awesome discman at a great price, here it is!

Summary: The Absolute worst
Review: It would have been easier to throw [money] out the window of my car. It's very delicate to operate and heaven help you if you go over a bump or accidently move the player. It stops. It might go on again or not. Don't buy.....

Summary: Koss is good
Review: Koss is a good company even tough i've never heard of it.The quility of the cd player is great. The value for the cd player is good to.A few reasons why i like ths cd playe is the way it looks, quility, value, its 40 second anti skip which doesnt make the song skip, and you can also program up to 20 songs. I suggest that if you want a cd player you should get this one.

Summary: It's all you need!
Review: My brother and I are heavily into electronics and music, so when I bought this CD player I was hoping it would live up to it's reviews. Well it has surpassed them. The first great feature I found on it was the anti-skip plus system. This not only tracks ahead 40 seconds, making skiping virtually impossible, it also includes an anti-rolling system, making sure there is always a 40 second buffer while keeping the sound quailty at optimum. The second featue I found useful was the DBBS Bass-boost. Granted, it boosts the bass a little more than your average bass boost, but in certain situations it is quite nicto have. The next feautre I enjoy is the accessories that come with it: an AD/DC converter, a cigarrette lighter converter, headphones (not that bad either), and a cassette tape converter. It includes random, repeat one or all, intro mode (like scan), and hold. It is stylish, well-built, tough, and well worth the money!

Summary: Shepard2000
Review: Nice sound, changed headphones for upgraded sound. Eates up battery time when using the anti-skip function and other accouterments. Make sure player is off anti-skip function when you can get away with it; otherwise look you 6 hrs of play otherwise 8 hrs max. Resists almost no bumps w./ out anti-skip; resists most w./ anti-skip. AC Adapter nice feature, cassette adapter nice for those with cassette decks in car or older non cd player boomboxes. Auto off nice, remember to hit stop forget pausebut a battery charger like a computer would be nicer.
