Summary: Short battery + unhappy with AT
Review: Battery rarely lasts longer than 48 hours if I leave it on at night. The wind interfers with the signal when using it outside, even the slightest wind makes it impossible to use the phone. My biggest complaint is with AT

Summary: ~*******| Can't do any better for a cell phone |*******~
Review: I have owned this model for 12 months now and have NEVER had a problem with it. When I first got it I charged it, then ran the battery down 3X in a row and now the battery easily lasts up to 5 days or a minumum of 3 days with plenty of usage. I have had calls last 4-5 hours without problems. I rarely got dropped during calls. Bottomline, this phone is well worth (...) with my plan, that means I get close to 50% OFF my bill monthly for the entire year.

Summary: In my back pocket
Review: I love this phone. I am not one that needs all the fancy option so this phone is prefect if you don't. The phone gets excellent reception and I find it hold's it charge well. I just love the size, it fit in the back pocket of my jeans. However it does not get 5 stars because the ring tones are very quite. I have them turned up all the way and I still miss some calls do to the fact I can't hear the ring. Besides that it is great and user friendly, this was my first cell phone and I could set al lthe options with out reading the manual or asking my sister for help.

Summary: A heavy-duty phone, no battery problem for me
Review: I'm surprised by so many complaint about C56's battery life. I've been using this phone for a year and never had any problem with it. I guess the trick is to enable "auto key lock", that saves a lot of energy and stops draining the battery every time you accidentally touch the keypad and thus turn on the backlight. Backlight eats a lot battery, thats the key. After I enable "auto key lock", my phone can at least 2 days without recharge. The battery and the phone are made in Germany, by the way.

And I have to mention that this is a very heavy-duty phone. I dropped it pretty hard serveral times. It still works. Light, Compact, Good reception... I love it.

Summary: Nice & compact - CHEAP too! -- Good for the price
Review: It's cute and affordable. I am a college student and I take this phone with me everywhere. It doesn't have as many functions as some of the other fancy phones, but it does it's job. It has a function to adjust the volume. It can record voice messages. There are lots of functions- you just have to explore it.

The phone is nice, compact, durable and easy to use, once you get the hang of it. I don't see how it got such low ratings from other people.

Summary: nice little phone
Review: Its a great phone and works great at what it is meant to do.

Good screen navigation (maybe biased, have been using it almost 1.5 years).
good battery life, net access and can download ringtones (I usually use download midi files from websites using its web browser). Size, good signal strenght and usability is why it gets 5 stars.

If you are looking for a color phone with features like camera etc. then this is by far not for you.

Summary: Does the job, but NOT user friendly...
Review: My husband and I switched to GSM 6 months ago with AT&T(we are happy with our GSM service). We had to get new phones with the new service. We switched from Nokia to Siemens. I have to say that we noticed right away that the C56 wasn't as user-friendly as the Nokia's we had before. However, we got a great deal on the C56's and now we wish we would have spent a little more money on a better phone.

Bottom line: Durable (I dropped it plenty of times!), could hear and be heard clearly, buttons are too small, screen is ok if you like the funky yellow :) and the battery life is pretty short (we end up charging our phone almost every day). The ring tones are hard to hear b/c they blend in with everyday sounds but it is cool that you can record your own voice as a ring tone! Overall a satisfactory phone, but my advice would be to spend a few extra dollars on a different phone and you will be less likely to want to upgrade so soon like we want to.

Summary: The Worst phone
Review: This is the worst phone I have ever had. The battery life of this phone is 10 min. Its signal reception is also pretty bad. don't go by the promotion of $150 cash back. This phone is not worth it.
