Summary: Motorola 721 GSM Phone. All I have is trouble
Review: I have had a lot of Cell phones . The 721 is the worst cell phone I ever owned in my life. It reboots by itself, it drops calls all the time. I had it replace 2 times in the first month. Replacement 721 have the same problem

Review: I hate this phone. I was a Nokia user until this, and I would go back in a minute. I had to get a replacement in less than 3 months, thinking it was just a defect, but when I went in to AT&T the girl at the counter said she used to have the same but couldn't stand all the problems. This phone will shut off in the middle of a call and it takes 2-3 minutes to reboot. I have horrible reception with a constant crackling in conversations. I am currently looking into what I can do to get a different phone... at this point I don't care if I have to pay for a whole new one! DO NOT purchase this phone... don't even take it if they give it away free!!!

Review: this phone is the most undependable phone i've had, my wife and i both have this phone and have had to send both in for service within 3 months of owning them. the replacement phones so far still will turn off by themselves in the middle of a call and then reboot, same as the first two. my kids use the ericsson, siemans, and the nokia and not one problem. My last two phones were nokia phones also. STAY AWAY FROM THE 721, ALL OVER THE INTERNET YOU WILL FIND PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS IVE HAD, MOTOROLA KNOWS ABOUT IT BUT SOLD THEM TO ATT ANYWAY. If you really want the motorola go up-line just stay away from the 721.

Summary: AT&T Wireless GSM service is really bad....
Review: I've owed the phone for about half a year now. No way will I recommend it to my friends! As I said, the service in Los Angeles area is bad. Some areas that are well covered by Verison or even Sprint give you the usual "Emergency Only" sign. Some areas, like the famous ski resort Mammoth Lakes, have no reception at all! For the whole vacation you can leave the phone in your suitcase. Bad reception in buildings as well. Many dropped calls...The phone itself is OK to me, although I would mention the thin plastic battery cover that feels cheap and fragile.

Summary: The Motorola T720 is the worst phone I have ever used
Review: I bought a Motorola T720 with a Verizon phone plan in December. The phone is terrible. It takes almost a minute to turn on. It shuts itself off even when it is pluged into the charger. It will not stay on for over 4 hours without being recharged, and I have it set on the lowest settings for length of time the light remains on, etc. It gets the worst reception of any phone I have ever owned. My entire family has Verizon as their service provider, and they will all have 5+ bars of reception while my phone will have none, in the same location. It drops calls 9 out of 10 times I try to make them. The volume on it is so quiet, that it cannot be used anywher but in a quiet room, so don't plan to use this phone in your car or at the mall. It is the worst $200 I have ever spent.

Review: This is the worste fone so far...this fone has a very bad signal not to mention att sux..the ringtones sound like crap...it has no camara n if u wanna buy one it takes all the memory of your fone...it cost me 150 bux n seriously its not worth it @ all..mMode its not good its sooo slow.. dont get this fone....UNLESS UR AN YEAR OLD MAN

Love the phone.. Light, compact and great sound. Solid construction.. tons of after market options... Looks and feels nice in your hand.. comes with most of the required accessories. Good signal quality.. Con's.. battery life is not great though for about $20 on eBay you can buy the 1400mah battery and expanded battery door... Have not tried it but I think it would help... All advanced feature phones have a learning curve.. this one is about average.... Not great but not the worst. Considering that you can get them from most cell companies for little or nothing.. they are a great phone at a better price..
If you are willing to shell out $400 or more I guess you can find more wiz-bang.. but Hay It's a phone and in 2 or 3 years they will have smaller, lighter, more features packed into a phone so.. It's not a life long commitment.. Enjoy!

Summary: On the outside it looks great, on the inside it stinks.
Review: My wife and I were looking to switch carriers this last fall. After we selected a new service provider we found a great deal on the Motorola T721 phone (better than free). I was really excited because I had heard a lot of good things about previous Motorola flip phones and jumped at the chance to get this upper scale model. Normally I am a strict Nokia user but as I stated previously, I had heard good things and the price was something I couldn't pass up.
Immediately after chrging the two phones and turning them on I was disapointed. I am very used to Nokia's intuitive menu navigation, so when I started using the T721 I was shocked to find the menus to be horrible and the button navigation was anything but intuitive. To me it appears that Motorola didn't do any sort of useage research and just slapped everything together.
Beyond the inconvenience of poor menus, buttons, and navigation both phones have been completely unreliable. Almost immediately both phones were prone to dropping calls while the screen turned black. The phone I use daily has a backlight that flickers and my wife's jams almost daily.
Although not a necessity, games on phones is something I really enjoy. When stuck in a line, or waiting endlessly for an appointment nothing passes time better than a simple puzzle on my phone. Now my wife and I got burned earlier last year with a phone that let you play the games for a month and then the service provider took them away (we have a little animosity toward the future of phone gaming). My wife and I don't need really cool games or anything. Just a simple puzzle will do. Nokia has some really good, simple, free games on their phones. So again, I was extremely disappointed when the T721 only came with two games, both demo versions with extremely limited playability, not to mention the fact that they are terrible games. Of course if I want more games I can pay for them. Which brings me to my final point.
Sure I got my phone for free, but it is sold for nearly $300! For $300 I expect a quality phone jam-packed with features. Even the ring-tones for the Motorola T721 are lame.
My recommendation to you would be to look elsewhere. Maybe Nokia, I don't know. But stay away from the Motorola T721.

Summary: Motorola T721 - nice, classy phone; underrated by users
Review: ***** The Motorola T721 is the much-improved version of the T720, which was plagued by flaws not expected in a Motorola phone... For the most part, I think the T721 is a major success and a great, classy phone. If we are getting down to brass tacks - THE GOOD: A) FORM and FUNCTION: The T721 is not a style-over-substance phone, but rather a very nice combination of both. The design exudes class, and belies a bevy of functions that the phone boasts. The phone gets nice reception as one would expect from a motorola, and any reception problems that i have had are tied to my cell service, not the phone... B) MENU is AOK: while some users have complained about the menu, it is actually one of the easiest I've ever used and also quite intuitive once you get the hang of it. Simple and classic icons are nice, and you can just "shortcut" to all your needed stuff. C) SCREEN: the color screen is big and brilliant, and you can adjust the icons, screensaver, background, etc. easily. D) GAMES, RINGTONES, etc: downloading games and cool ringtones is a breeze, and fun to boot. E) EXTERNAL SCREEN: the external screen on this flip phone is large and includes date, time, caller ID, signal strength and battery meter. what else do you need??!! THE SOMEWHAT BAD: A) SOUNDS: I think the sounds on the polyphonic speaker could be a bit better - but its not a big deal. B) WEIGHT: while the T721 is somewhat light due to its plastic case, it is not nearly as fragile as some have said. and in any case, this is a phone that has: 1) tons of carrying cases to protect it that are even nicer than the original covers; and 2) the ability to easily replace damaged covers or battery doors. C) BATTERY LIFE: battery life could be better, but i'm probably sucking the energy out of it by playing games and downloading stuff. D) NO SPEAKERPHONE: There is no internal speakerphone, but you can buy an attachment. E) NO CAMERA: I heard that the camera attachment for the T720 wasn't any good anyways, and it just takes up memory. ****CONCLUSION:
Overall, I would rate this phone as Above Average/Very Good. If you are someone who tends to drop your phone alot or who has no desire to spend a few minutes learning the motorola menu layout then maybe you should consider other options... But if you are someone just looking for a classy phone with nice features at a solid price, then the T721 won't disappoint.
