Summary: CDMA = everywhere
Review: .
The phone come with 10 free units (20 if

you activate on line). You can also receive

100 free units by E-mail from Tracfone if

you *activate* your phone after a friend

(who already has her Tracfone) refers you

(she also receives 100 minutes). 120 units

out of the box is a good deal. If you don't

know anybody you can E-mail me, I'll make

sure you receive the $30.00 Tracfone deal.

My E-mail : second_tracfone@lycos.com

You can add units at Amazon or Tracfone.

One minute will take one unit if you phone

from your area map and two units if you

phone out of it (roaming) however local or

long distance are the same rate. If you want

to move, you can change your area code or

phone number (maximum four times a year)

by calling Tracfone. I'm in a digital area so

the sound is great, however I'm *not* in an

area with text messaging available. You can

set up your voice mail by calling your 120c

from another phone (save your units) and by

using # to set your code and voice greeting.

The phone always show the units expiration

(no need to log on). Calls less than fifteen

seconds won't be charged. The activation is

easy but very long, you need to be on line

entering many codes on your phone. The

keypad and faceplate are hard to change.

Summary: Excellent Phone
Review: At first, I was like, this is the dorkiest cell phone I have seen since 1991 but then I got it and it really is the best cell phone I have ever had. Firstly, its chunkyness makes it very durable. It has fallen down, many times, and it is okay. The second really good thing about this phone is the phenomenal battery life, sometimes almost a week if the phone is hardly used. The other good thing is the price. Again, this is my favorite cell phone. It is so much better than those little Sanyo or Samsung or Sony whatever flip phones.

Summary: Great Way To Save!
Review: I only spend about 9 dollars a month to keep my service active. Tracfone's coverage is the best. The phone is simple to use and is best for people using 50 minutes or less per month. I can send 100 free minutes for new customers from tracfone's referal program. My adress is krisjny@hotmail.com. Enjoy the savings.

Summary: Tracfone is service is HORRIBLE!!!
Review: I purchased a tracfone and it was a HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience. The first phone didn't work and after 9 phone calls and over 6 hours dealing with their "experts", most of whom did not speak english well enough to help let alone understand, I was told to return the phone to the dealer, exchange it, call them back and they would transfer the minutes I had plus allow me to keep my number for my new phone. I did as I was told, only then to spend an additonal 3 hours talking to 5 more "experts" who told me that I couldn't transfer those minutes, although they would allow me to "maybe transfer" them in 9-12 weeks. There customer service was in fact so deplorable, that I was hung up on for asking to speak to a supervisor, and sworn at, when asked to speak to another techician. I promptly returned the phone (eating the 140 minutes I had purchased, about 40$) and bought a simple freedom phone. The hassle of dealing with unknowledgble technicians, and empty promises is not worth it. Buyer beware!!!

Summary: I'm never going back to costly monthly rates. EVER. Period.
Review: I slap myself when I remember I was paying over $30 a month for my cell phone coverage, not to mention I only used it for local calls and emergincies. Isn't there any cell phone out there where I could pay only for the minutes I need? That is when the Motorola 120c Tracfone stepped into my mobile communication life. It looks and operates just like a normal cell phone including games, address book, nationwide long distance, etc. But the greatest aspect about this cell phone is that... you pay ONLY for the minutes you need. Amazing! I thought this was too good to be true, so I purchased it and tried it out for myself. Wow! To buy minutes you simply go and buy their phone cards (which can be bought at many retail stores or at the tracphone website) and type in code number in the phone (or their website). It's that simple! Of course you have to activate the phone first through their website or by phone, but that is quick and easy. The quality of the sound is crisp and clear. The signal strength (in my area at least) has always been strong and steady. The screen is bright and the button layout is comfortable. I am very happy with this cell phone and I recommend it to anyone who is tired of monthly bills and contracts and who use it for occasional chats and emergencies. Great for teens, too!

Pros: NO activation fees, NO contracts, NO monthly bills, NO credit checks, pay as you go, free caller ID, free call waiting, voice mail, nationwide long distance, durable unit, remarkable quality, and lots more.

Cons: Very minor; You need to keep the service active by buying a new card every month or so. But this can be solved by buying a one year activation card.

I don't know about any one else, but after seeing what the Motorola 120c Tracfone could do for me, I'm never going back to those monthly rates. Pay what you need. Use what you need.

Summary: Worst customer servie ever!
Review: I think the phone itself is probably allright, but the customer service was so bad that I ended up returning the phone and getting service with someone else. There are not words to express how terrible this company is to deal with. I spent well over a week and about 20 hours trying to get answers from them about why I couldn't use my voicemail, make calls, and turn the roaming off (when I was not even roaming). I wasted over 1/2 of the time I bought just running tests while having these "technicians" on the phone. They were unable to resolve any of the problems I was having and kept "opening cases" that I could check on withen 24 hours. Each time I checked they claimed a case hadn't been opened. At one point they even "deactivated" my phone and I lost the 30$ in minutes I had left. These people are not trained well, and I spent a majority of the time on hold. Several times I was disconnected. There also seems to be a language barrier where as I could hardly understand them, and it was obvious they couldn't understand me.I would NEVER tracfone service again!

Summary: Wow no more monthly outragious bills!
Review: Just go Tracphone Motorola 120c prepaid phone, it came with 4 months of service and 120 minutes. After that, I will keep it active for less than $10 a month. So far I am really happy as I do not use it much and it is great to have for emergencies.
If you don't talk on the phone much (and you shouldn't while you drive anyway) then this is for you. No evil credit checks and no evil contracts. I will be happy to refer you I think we get a 100 minutes each, no problem. Iain1028@hotmail.com

Got to go the tracphone is ringing, while I ring in the savings!
