Summary: The LCD broke on me!!!
Review: 3 months and the LCD broke on me. I thought this was a cool phone... well wrongly so

The downsides:

1) The camera sucks. It doesn't have good resolution at all.
2) The phone looks like a match box, just an elongated one
3) Lacks the class of a true Sony Ericcson product.

And now the LCD broke on me. I am not sure what I am going to do now... will I even get my money back or get it repaired under waranty?

Summary: AT&T Wireless SUCKS
Review: First of all, I couldn't find a board to post my review on AT&T wireless, so I had to choose to review some product. I'm giving 4 stars to it since I heard this is a good phone.

However, what I want to do today is to WARN YOU that AT&T WIRELESS SUCKS. Their customer service can provide wrong information and force you to pay more than you should.

Here is my story. I had a AT&T wireless phone, but for personal reasons I wanted to cancel it. It was 2 months before the contract would expire, so I confirmed with the CSR that I would have to pay the $175 cancelation fee, which is actually reasonable and under contract.

But, but, at this time he gave me wrong information. He suggested that I suspend the account for 2 months and cancel it afterwards. I was a little doubtful but, since this was the information directly from a CSR, I did as what he told me to do.

Then, 2 months later, I called in again. This time a different CSR said that time of suspension does not count in the contract. This means I must wait for another 2 months, and pay, before I can cancel the account. Unfortunately I don't have the conversation record with the first CSR due to a system crash, so I have no strong evidence to support myself.

It is all OK to me since I am not using the phone anyway, and it only costs < $100 for 2 months. However, I can't stand the fact that CSRs provide wrong information and mislead customers. AT&T has lost a customer forever, and I bet they will lose more once more people know about their bad customer service.

AT&T WIRELESS SUCKS, DON'T BUY AT&T WIRELESS

Summary: Great little phone!
Review: First, The phone is great ! I am simply bowled over by its feature.
Amazon shipped it right in time too.
However, I had problems with account activation. When the phone arrived it had inactive SIM on it. So I had to call ATT and after talking to them for an hour, they opeend a brand new account for me (bacause they had no information of the current SIM card). Which means going through a credit check again. ATT was good enough to send me the SIM card for free !
If you have no issues with dealing with the activation thing, go ahead and get the phone !

Summary: Amazon has issues with ordering , ATT is fine
Review: I had ordered the phone from Amazon.com.Amazon.com was refusing to accept my credit info repeatedly.
So I had to find Amazon.com customer service number from google to get my order go through (they entered it manually). The amazon.com customer service number is (one eight zero zero two zero one seven five seven five 1_800_201_7575).

ATT customer service is great. They take care of all issues such as number porting etc within 24 hrs. Amazon.com does not provide facility to port your old number currently.

If you get the phone unlcoked (costs around $20 .. google for more info), it will work with other sim cards. ( You can carry it to other countries such as india and use a locally available cell phone service. In india Airtel sim card works fine )

Also , corporate discounts can be applied to phones bought from amazon.com.

Summary: Great phone - fast activation - ATT
Review: I love this phone; its small, has a tremendous amount of features, and has great synch abilities. Although the camera quality isn't the greatest, its made for a phone...if you want high quality, buy a digital camera. That said, quick photo snap is nice and the menus fly by in a breeze. The reception I am getting on ATT is great!

I know there have been complaints on activating this bad boy, but I really didnt have much of a problem. If you get the phone through Amazon you are going to have to call ATT in order to activate your SIM card and be able to start making and receiving calls. I called 1-888-288-4202 and talked to a guy named Nikolai who got my stuff straight within 30 minutes. The only problem was that a day after I had called him it still read 'inactive SIM', but on a whim I powered it down and then back up and it worked. My advice to anyone getting this phone is to call that number and let them activate it, then wait like an hour and shut down your phone and then restart it...it should probably be rearin and ready to go by then. Again, great phone and great features!!

Summary: What a hassle
Review: I ordered this phone on Dec 29, 2004. After waiting for more than 1 month, Amazon still hadn't sent it, so I had to cancel my order (I think I was more than patient). I have seen the phone, although it's compact and nice-looking, it has lots of mMode features and the keys are small and slippery, and if you're not careful you can easily wander into those modes and cost yourself some money. Manipulating the joystick requires careful attention.

Summary: Nice Phone with NO complains about ATT and Amazon.
Review: I recently got a my T637 risking the fact that most of the postings/reviews on Amazon were not evaluating the phone but complaining about the ATT services. I think that there should be a different forum for that, when some one tries to buy a phone he/she wants to read the Phone reviews. Any ways. These are my first hand experience.
Excellent phone, with all the cool features given in the product description. One thing that I did notice is that the battery life is not as fantastic as the Sony claims it to be namely:
Minimum Rated Standby Time: 315 hours
Minimum Rated Talk Time: 840 minutes.
I don't think that it lasts longer than 200min of talk time.
The M-mode button is really annoying, and even if you try to cancel going to the Internet, it will attempt to reconnect, which is where you have to patiently keep in hitting cancel.
Now about the part about the service provider.
I got my cell phone, charged it for 2hrs, plugged in the SIM and I had a good reception immediately. No calling to ATT help desk or Amazon was involved. Absolutely no hassle!!
Either I am "super" lucky (which is not the case) or only the people who had problems wrote reviews and the ones with functional services never bothered to write. Also now most of the time you are transferred to a Cingular helpdesk and the people out there are definitely much helpful.
Definitely an excellent buy given that Amazon and ATT are paying you 225$

Summary: This phone is excellent
Review: I recently got the upgrade of my phone to t637 and along with the unbeatable plan (400 + 400 additional anytime minutes for $39.99) with AT&T, I am very happy.
Phone has a very good reception and sound. Bright and sharp TFT display is stunning. Camera is ok but I dont care.
It has very sophisticated looks.
I bet anyone who has this baby is very pleased with it.

Summary: Good phone, no real issues.
Review: This phone is pretty good. I'm a newcomer to the world of GSM (after being imprisoned by Sprint and Verizon for many years) and its great to finally have a triband phone that works overseas.

Here are some smaller issues i tend to have:

1. Its not the easiest phone to navigate. Buttons are small and require some careful pushing.
2. Too easy to hit web browse. Of course if you use keylock all the time this will never be a problem. But the moment you forget will be the moment you rack up $30 in airtime charges for the internet sitting open for 20 minutes.
3. No single button that will take you back to the main screen. This is a problem if you spend time playing games, using internet, and navigating some advanced features. You have to click several buttons to go home.
4. Buttons remain on the screen. If you call voicemail and punch in your pin, it will remain on the screen even after you hang up. You need to hit the return button a couple of times.
5. The plastic face scratches pretty easily. And there's no really nice case at the Cingular stores. Your stuck with a crappy leather thing that doesnt really fit well.
6. No standard telephone ring tone. I'm a pretty simple guy and i get annoyed by the musical jingles and such. This is probably not an issue for most.

Other than those nit-picky issues, this is a great phone that i would buy over and over again. Bluetooth syncing with my Mac works flawlessly (need to download some software from the Apple website). I have paired it with a Jabra freespeak bluetooth headset. Performance is a bit shaky here. I almost always hear static, though the person on the other line says I sould fine. I dont know whether its the phone or the headset. Make sure you get it unlocked so you can go overseas and buy local Sim cards.

The case is pretty sturdy. I've dropped it a few times and though the Sim will dislodge temporarily, the phone always rebounds and is ok. Signal strength is probably a 7/10. Not really happy with the dropped calls, but probably because Sprint has a pretty awsome network in large cities and calls were always clear and steady.

Photos are sufficent when taken in well-lit areas. In dark areas, dont even bother. Go get a digital camera for that. Internet browsing is boring. if you like to browse, i suggest a palm Treo 300 or the latest model. They are great, though big and bulky. MMS and SMS capabilities are outstanding. Very easy to use. But be prepared for data costs from your local companies. They add up! Good luck on your choices.

Summary: Good, but not all it is claimed to be
Review: Would have been 5 stars, but . . .

Sony claims that they worked hard to make the phone compatible with iSync on the Macintosh, unfortuantely it isn't fully compatible. Multi-day and all-day calendar events won't transfer over. When contacting Sony, they say they don't support the feature and I need to contact apple. Doesn't sound like they worked too hard after all.
