Summary: An average phone
Review: It's not a top notch phone, but it got it's own goods.

The Good:

- Great reception (Got clear calls even in the basement)
- Cool keypad design and lighting (That's why I always want to show it to people with the lights turned on)
- Nice polyphonic ring tones
- Sturdy (I dropped it several times it still works great)
- Games are fun (I really like the glider, bowling and flying ribbon)

The Bad:
- Bulky (But for guys its ok....)
- Low volume ring tone (I have missed countless calls because the ring volume is just too low for me even I set it at max.
- No vibration alarm (I really like a vibration alarm when you need it at the public place)
- You can set only one alarm
- Low LCD resolution (Some of the wallpapers really don't look good)
- The included earbud does not have a button. So you have to press the key pad to enable voice dialing.
- Not enough LCD contrast (Too faint in day time)
- No volume adjuster at side
- No sim card

Summary: A very good and reasonable purchase
Review: I have had this phone for a while and while it is not without a few minor drawbacks it has been a very good, reasonable cell phone.

The things I like are that it is a very good size (not too big or small) and a good weight. It feels good in my hand and I love that it doesnt have and antennae. The color screen is very nice, quite readable and large for a phone (the size difference in this phone and others is partly due to the large size of the screen). It is easy to hear this phone when it rings which I can't say about my last one.... I have three of these phones and have had only one minor mechanical issue with only one of them ( I had to reset the card one time when the phone froze). Other than that any problems have been phone service related and not phone related. It has nice features like graphics for screen saver and wallpaper...and great graphics for games.

The few problems that I see is the non-convential keypad layout is a big pain, especially when doing text messaging. You do get used to it but a conventional keypad would have been light years better. I don't think that the set up and directions are all that intuitive. Sometimes its really quite hard to find the control that your looking for and the set up for text messaging is harder than it has to be. Really these things all work out as you learn the phone but this is really the least intuitive phone I have ever owned.

All that said... the absense of significant mechanical issues is a huge plus as is the large readable display. You can learn how to use the phone but you cant make up for a poorly built unit.

Summary: NOKIA 3595 WITH T-MOBILE SERVICE PLAN
Review: I JUST PURCHASED THIS PHONE AND I LOVE IT! WORKS VERY WELL INSIDE THE HOME. I LIVE IN NYC AND MY V66 MOTOROLA WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY FOR ME. THE SOUND IS EXCEPTIONALLY LOUDER AND CLEARER THAN OTHER CELL PHONES.I CANT FIND ONE NEGATIVE THING ABOUT THIS NOKIA, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING IT. SO MUCH BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

Summary: Sure it looks pretty, but does it work?
Review: I was recently sent this phone by T-Mobile since the old Nokia I had was beginning to act up. At first, I was excited because of the color screen but after three months, I am on Amazon.com looking for a new phone. Whats the problem? well for starters, the key pad is just plain annoying when you try and text message. Sometimes the keys don't work unless you press really hard and they get confusing since they are spaced so close to each other. Also, the phone looses all reception and says "enter SIM card" on the front. My sim card is in! At first I thought it was just me and my bad luck with technology but a lot of my friends have the same phone and theirs do the exact same thing. Ironically enough, this always happens in the middle of a really exciting conversation or a flurry of text messages. Come on, I'm a teenager, this thing is practically my lifeline! It is extremely annoying when it suddenly decides to stop working. Don't get me wrong, there are a few good things about it, like the ability to stay on for four days without needing to be recharged, the fun ring tones, the color screen and the little blue rubber thingy on the back (which, by the way, constantly falls off). So I had to tell y'all, there are better phones out there, like the Samsung E105 and the Nokia 3390 is probably the most dependable phone out there (and doesn't break no matter how many times you drop it on the sidewalk!)so please reconsider before you get this phone, it looks kinda cool, despite the ugly brown face plate, but it doesn't work very well.

Summary: Great phone but strange keypad
Review: I switched to Nokia phones years ago after using Motorola phones for a long time. Motorola always had great features but were not as practical for using as a telephone. Nowdays every bell and whistle is being put on cell phones including cameras, games, internet, mini-keyboards, PC connectivity, etc. What I really want is a simple phone that is not too big and not too complex to just grab quickly and use. I also want it to be small enough to put in my pocket but not so small you get hand cramps trying to hold onto it for a long conversation. I also want to have enough connectivity to add important features such as handsfree devices, speakerphone, and an easy charge plug design. Finally the phone must have a good battery life. The last thing you want to do is to have to charge the phone after every conversation.

Overall the 3595 seems to be a simple and effective phone with most of the most important features I mentioned previously that you need in a phone. The battery life is excellent (up to six hours continuous talk time without running out). It has a few other nice features such as large but simple color screen, internet connectivity, games, calendar with alarm, auto-update of date and time, etc.

On the negative side the phone does not have as good quality of a color screen as most newer phones. It does not have some of the advanced features other phones have such as a camera, PC integration capability, or a built in speakerphone. My single biggest problem with the 3595 phone is the unconvential keypad design. It can be confusing for the new user or some users used to previous cell phones until they get used to the different placement of the keypad numbers. I called Nokia about this problem and even asked them if they had 3560 keypads (which use a more common layout) that they could sell so I could swap out (it is very easy to change it) and replace it. The Nokia representative acted as if he had heard this complaint before and told me the part was not available or in stock at Nokia USA. Nokia is supposedly aware that many people prefer a convential key pad and they are supposedly working on a replacement key pad option for those people for the future. On a positive note I have already adapted to the newer but unconventional 3595 keypad very quickly and I myself find that I no longer have a problem with using it.

Pros:
Simple and effective cell phone design and size (except for - the keypad) makes it easy to use and carry in your pocket
Great reception (using GSM model)
Good ear speaker (loud and clear to listen to)
Easy to use as a phone
Very Durable
Extremely long battery life
Internet and instant message capable
Large and easily readable color screen
A number of accessories available for this model
Headsets and Charge plug accessory designs are great
Has the most essential features without being too complicated

Cons:
New keypad design can be difficult for some people to use
Color Screen resolution is less than many newer color phones
Lacks some of latest advanced features of other cell phones:
No built in speakerphone
No camera
No PC data connectivity (via USB or other)
No Bluetooth data connectivity

Conclusion: If you are looking for a simple, inexpensive, durable, well designed phone with some good advanced features, a great battery life, and with good reception (using GSM model) then this is your phone. If the unconvential keypad bothers you try it for a while and if you still don't like it find a 3560 model keypad to replace it or wait a few months for Nokia's replacement solution.

If you want more bells and whistles or want more than just a great cell phone for making and receiving calls then I suggest you look at the more advanced Nokia phones such as the 6200 which has has more advanced features with a conventional keypad in a similar Nokia non-flip design package. If you still are unhappy and must have almost every latest gadget then look at Motorola's V300 or V400 small flip phone designs which have the bells and whistles but they are less durable, have shorter battery lives, and are not as simple to use as just telephones. I actually also own the more fragile Motorola V400 which I really do enjoy but I opt to use my more durable Nokia 3595 for constant everyday use.

Summary: Inexpensive & Dependable
Review: I bought this phone about 6 months ago to replace a Motorola phone that I hated (poor reception, short battery life, limited options, etc.) This phone is great!!! I no longer have reception problems and have not changed service provider. The battery lasts at least twice as long and the optional services are endless in comparison.

Summary: One word : efficiency
Review: This phone has amazing battery life, in fact, it's better than my home phone. If left unused the phone can survive for up to two weeks or more in my experience, and even if you're a heavy talker you may only need to recharge it about once a week.

The reception is great too, and the only times that I've received bad reception is with someone who's either not using a home phone or not using a great cell phone like this one.

My one complaint is that it is for the most part just a basic cell phone. It has some games and is compatible with T-zones, it's color, but that's about what every other cell phone can do. The resolution isn't anything speacial, and the design can be a bit irritating (i.e. the keypad). If none of this is important to you though, I would imagine that this phone would be perfect. It's compact and does everything that a cell phone SHOULD.

Summary: My Graduation Gift
Review: I'm a 14 year old and I recieved my nokia 3595 on May 14 as a graduation gift from middle school. I've always had nokias but this one is the best yet. I get great reception where ever I'm at and battery life is good. It has cool ringtones on it to like holiday and beach. The keypad is very cool and easy to use as a matter of fact most of the time im instant messaging people wit the IM feature on the phone or I'm just playing with it. Parents i recommend this phone to you if you are looking for a great phone for your teens and with T-Mobile you do get more for less. The only thing I didnt like is that the phone came in a ugly brown faceplate which was replaced the day after i got the phone with a new faceplate. There are other faceplate styles you can get also if you don't like the keypad but over all its a great phone for teens who dont drop their phones for fun. Because I've dropped my phone before and nothing happened to it (but of course it was dropped on carpet!!!) Its also alot ways to keep your phone on your side so you dont have to worry about dropping it.

Summary: Thank You Catherine Zeta Jones!
Review: I love my Nokia 3595. T-Mobile offered it for free. "Get More" is their advertising slogan. Catherine Zeta Jones' wonderful TV ads convinced me to explore their wireless service. When I went on-line they were offering the Nokia 3595 free with a years'contract. I have now had my Nokia 3595 for a couple of months now and am very pleased with my new phone. It looks great with its hip design. I absolutely love the keypad. Reception has been great as well. I haven't had any problems.....Hey people....Get More...Choose T-Mobile, and the Nokia 3595.
