Summary: Good Function, Great Style
Review: As a Palm OS address/notebook/calculator small enough to easily carry in a pocket, the Edge can't be beat.
Features: 160x160 pixel grayscale screen, 8 MB memory, IR, rechargeable Lion battery, Palm OS apps same as other Visors.
Good: Slim size, tough metal skin, strong flip cover (much easier to use than the removable plastic covers on other Handspring PDAs), great style.
Less Good: To use springboard modules, the cover must be removed, and an adapter inserted, which makes the Edge a little more bulky. Unique clip-on stylus, which does not have the reset pin and screwdriver of the standard Visor stylus - buy extra Edge styli and carry a paper clip... Screen slightly smaller than other Visors.
Summary: The toughest looking Handspring PDA, and the one you are most likely to actually carry all the time. Not the best if you often use springboard modules.

Summary: The Coolest!
Review: I am a student in highschool and a very unorganized one. I decided that I wanted to invest in a pda to get me more organized. First I was looking at Palms and other ones but I thought they were too expensize. Then I came here to look around and I found the Handspring brand. I was looking in the stores (after reading reviews) for the Handspring Visor Neo because that was the most inexpensive (149$) at office max but it was out of stock. So i went to Costco Wholesale and just by luck I saw the Handspring Visor Edgge for only 139.99$ I am so glad I bought..its easy to charge, and easy to upload downloads from your computer! So if you guys have a Costco Wholesale around...i suggest you check that out before you buy anything! These usually run for about 169$!

Summary: You can never be too thin
Review: I have never owned a Palm device before because I never thought that it could replace a cheap, reliable paper datebook. But the prices have come down so much, I couldn't resist. I love it, and I find myself loading it up with much more than appointments and contacts. I'm quickly becoming one of those people who couldn't live without it. The Visor Edge is thin, light, and stunning. I made a great choice.

Summary: A palm V clone and well done.
Review: This unit is very well made and a joy to work with. The blue color is well received in a world of silver and black. You will not be disappointed if you buy one in any of the 3 colors available.

Summary: So much more!
Review: I bought this unit when the price was $[money] and still feel like I got a deal. I planned to use it for phone numbers and scheduling but I have found many other uses.

As a teacher, it is my grade book and attendance list.
As a theatre director, it is my task manger and deadline reminder.
As an info junkie, it is my newspaper.

The screen is solid, I don't need color
The stylus is nice, no cheap plastic
Handsping costomer service is fine (repair in 5 days at no charge in the first year)

The unit is light, and the price is now incredible.
Enjoy

Summary: How did I live without it?!
Review: After weeks of research, I finally decided to buy the Edge. Yes, it is more expensive than the Neo, but the differences are great: MUCH thinner, and it recharges in the cradle so you never have to worry about dead batteries. You have to REALLY TRY to use up your memory! I downloaded about 5 applications and I'm still 80% free. If you are stuck between the Neo and the Edge, pick the Edge. You'll save the difference in price since you don't have to buy batteries!

Summary: A former Luddite delighted with it!
Review: While a "power user" on the computer, I was a Luddite with regards to PDAs. They seemed so limited, counter-intuitive (in comparison to a Mac or Windows), and Graffiti seemed just so dumb! Well, I finally broke down. The deals were hard to ignore. And I got tired of carrying around that clunky paper organizer. Bought a Handspring Visor Edge (albeit in red! otherwise, the same). Graffiti came quickly. Had it for a week now and have yet to experience ANY difficulties. So easy to use--it IS intuitive! So portable. I now couldn't imagine a PDA any larger or heavier. (For a "5," maybe the Treo 90? But still so new....)

Summary: DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT
Review: The only way we can stop stupid marketing gimics (like "price too low to display") is to not buy items so advertised. Is is good service to make it harder for the customer to see what an item costs? It only makes finding the best price all the harder. Why should anyone patronize a company staffed with such marketing jerks?

Summary: The price is finally right...
Review: When I first reviewed the sleek Visor Edge, it cost about twice what it does today. At the time, I advised buyers that this product was definitely going to come down in price so it can compete. Handspring finally has priced this product where it is extremely competitive with any product in the marketplace.

Functionally, the Visor Edge's sole advantage is its thinness. It is by far the thinnest PDA.
Functionally, the Edge is identical to the Visor Neo, except it is thinner with a rechargeable battery. This is the Palm OS equivalent of the Apple Cube -- a beautiful machine that didn't justify its high initial cost. As with the Cube after it was discontinued, you can now get a great deal on the Edge.
Buyers may also want to check out the discontinued Palm Vx, which feels better in your hands and actually weighs about an ounce less.
BTW, putting the Springboard module on this product makes it look totally unwieldy and eliminates the "cool" factor. If you like Springboard, keep your Visor Deluxe/Neo.

Summary: Unreliable -- Don't Buy It
Review: I'm a long-time Palm user (love 'em), and liked the looks and feel of the Visor Edge. Unfortunately, recharging the battery has been a problem, and [money] is too much to pay for a disposable handheld that works for two weeks. I had to perform a hard reset to get it to charge the day I brought it home, and when I set it up for Mom as a gift nothing, I mean nothing, would get it to charge. Soft reset, hard reset, even an in-the-cradle reset, nothing works. ... Quality control just seems to be real problem for Handspring. I won't be buying another one. Getting Mom a Smartphone!
