Summary: Sounds Great , but has Drawback
Review: Unfortunately this is the only major brand 1 PIECE BOOMBOX that has at least 25 WATTS per channel output. The CD BUTTONS such as Repeat, Random, and Program are ONLY ON THE REMOTE and NOT ON THE BOOMBOX!

Summary: JVC's RV-Bxx series boomboxes are the best, period.
Review: Wait!! Stop reading this and order one now!!! That's how sure I am of this boombox. I started my search for a boombox that had characteristics that used to be found in ones from the early 80's when breakdance was popular. Remember when owning a huge boombox was in and toting one on your shoulder was how you listened to it? The nostalgia pulled on my hear-strings. The bottom line--I wanted something powerful, loud and built to withstand the punishment. Fortunately, such a boombox is still available, thanks to JVC. If there ever was a stereo that lived up to the name "boombox" this is it. The woofers kick out the bass beyond anything you've heard in a portable stereo before and the volume goes from 0 to 50! It's built like a brick ****house, which means it will last for many years to come. Best of all, you can own one for $200 at Amazon ($100 less than anywhere else; the only downfall--it's army green--probably the least sold color) Why are you still reading? Order it!!!

Summary: JVC RV-B90 Kaboom
Review: Well worth the price! Others have stated that the ACS makes the sound muddy but I've found that I like it. Best sounding boombox I've ever listened to! Love the full function remote. The only drawbacks are that it is heavy (25 lbs.) and that it literally eats batteries if you try to run it on batteries; otherwise, perfect.

Summary: Mighty Power at KILLER price
Review: Well, I saw one of these in a catalog about a year ago, and thought that it was pretty cool. Then I went to the store and got to HEAR one of these things. There is no portable stereo that can put out equal sound, There are few shelf systems that can either for that matter. My little brother got one of these for his birthday, and it puts out better bass than my older brother's $400 shelf system (which is also JVC). Get one while thaey last.

Summary: The loudest one can buy for the money
Review: When I first saw this little boombox, at first, I laughed really hard. But when I listened to Korn on this compact unit, it picked up all the low notes. With 40 watts to the 6-1/2" subs and 12 watts to the 3-3/16" full-range speakers, it will fill your room up with toons. To me, this is the best mini system ever!

Summary: This has some phat bass sound.
Review: Why buy the RV-B99 for a large amount of money when you can buy the RV-B90 for cheaper. They are so similar that there is no point in buying the more expensive one. If you are into music and love phat bass sound then you need to buy this.

Summary: A genuine audio breakthrough at a breakthrough price
Review: Wow, I bought the JVC Kaboom Box last year and am 100% satisfied with it. I am a musician, and quality sound is important to me. The Kaboomer delivers -- and how! In fact, I bring it to band rehearsals so we can put on a CD or tape and hear what's on a track -- even with the guitarists noodling along at the same time. My only regret is that I paid $260 for the unit last fall -- and that was the best price I could find. At $180, this system is a steal, and an essential purchase for anyone who demands top quality sound anywhere at any time. Super!
