Summary: Get with the program!!!!!
Review: Okay...here's the deal. I have this item, bought it a while ago and wish to share my infinite wisdom. Firstly, minidisc players are the greatest tool for any music fan that has the will and patience to create a vast music library. Aren't you sick of fumbling around with crazy amounts of CDs and not being able to create your own playlist? I was having the same problem until, through divine intervention, I happened to fall upon the Sharp Minidisc and its world of posibilities. I've convinced every one of my friends who hasn't spent all their money on beer and porno mags to purchase one right away. And believe me, they haven't been sorry. So just collect all that loose change you have under the couch cushions and buy this ... right away. ...

Summary: Great Value...minor details
Review: When I bought this Mini Disc player, I was really psyched becuase it looked really cool and it was so much cheaper than other mini discs on the market. The player has pretty good quality, and although it is not the lightest or the skinniest... it doesn't really matter because the playback quality is great. I agree that it should come with a blank mini disc because I really wanted to use the player right when I got it. The head phones are really cool because they fold up but they aren't the sterdiest. The remote is a little cheap but it's honestly not that bad. This mini disc is soooooooo definitley worth the price but the cords they give you, didn't connect with my CD players or Stereo but just go to ... and there's not problem. BUY THIS PLAYER

Summary: the best value for a player on the market!!!!
Review: Though at first I had many reservations about buying a music technology that was less than 20 years old, I must say, I couldn't pass up such a great value for a minidisc player/recorder. The sound quality is excellent, the recording length is great and the design is stylish. One of my favorite features of this minidisc player is the fact that I can burn my own cd's onto minidiscs! I make mixes as well as record whole cd's. If you're not farmiliar with md's, this product's directions are very detailed and helpful. All in all, I think that this product is great. BUY IT!!!!!

Summary: TIGHT...
Review: I would definitely recommend this product or any mini disc player over an Mp3 player. I m still in middle school where it is against the rules to take anykind of electronics to school, but since this mini disc player is so small, it is very easy to hide from teachers and the like. i have not been caught in 5 months due to the small design. however, even though it is small, this player still has a lot of features. also, this is the best looking mini disc player out right now. . . . It has a lot of accessories including collapsable head phones, inline remote, RCA plugs, and a TOSlink cable. two problems that do not really bother me but mite bother you are the fact that the battery life is very short and that the remote is kinda cheap. the recharagable battery however is very tight because it does not need a battery charger to recharge. all u have to do is plug the mini disc player into the ac adapter and hit the STOP/CHARGE button. overall, this is the best and most affordable mini disc player on the market.

Summary: Excellent deal on portable MD
Review: The Sharp MDSR60 is an exceptional value for a portable MD. I was pleasently surprised at how complete the accessory package is. Not only do you get headphones and a remote, you also get a TOSlink cable for making digital recordings and a 1/8" stereo to 2 RCA adapter for recording or playing back to a stereo system. A cute little bag to store the unit also comes with it.

The only minor quibbles I have are (a) it doesn't come with a minidisc. It would be nice to have a blank disc with a demo song or two on it (b) the remote is not backlit and feels like cheap plastic.

I plan to use my mine primarily for recording my own concerts - much cheaper than a .portable DAT machine
