Summary: Terrible
Review: A piece of junk. I couldn't even move it without it skipping, if I could get it to work at all. Buy something from Sony or even Phillips, anything but this.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: a nice mp3
Review: advantages:
- brand name
- great sound quality (even when u use the supplied headphones)
- good price compared to other brand names like sony , phillips ...etc.
- the remote control is light and easy to use
- uses either AA or AAA batteries or both
- the album button (lets u jump between albums on the cd without having to skip each single song to reach the desired one)
- the (+ 10) button lets jump 10 songs at each press on the button to quickly find your song)

disadvantages:
- the LCD display is NOT backlit ( although the picture on the box have a backlit LCD !!!)
- does NOT support any other file format except MP3
- does NOT support id3 ( does not show the song title or singer name )
- the remote control does NOT have album or +10 buttons
- the remote control does NOT have LCD display
- the remote control and the extra AA battery pack looks poor
- does NOT have DSP ( u can not change from hall to live to rock to jazz...etc.)

comments:

- if u can not live without id3 and a backlit LCD then do not buy this product

- for me those options are not that important ( i always put the player in the glovesbox in my car , i do not see the player at all so what can i do with an LCD itself !!!)

- a final word to say : IT IS A GOOD MP3 PLAYER

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: okay for the price, but that's about it
Review: Cons:
- 100-second anti-shock does not really makes the playback skip-free; in most cases it only delays the skip by 100 seconds
- when playing mp3s it skips the first and the last few (1-5) seconds of every song
- there's no ID3 tag display
- not loud enough

Pros:
- remote control
- the price is REALLY good

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Awesome! Here's the fine print...
Review: Excellent gadget. I love to store over 150 songs in one 0.50 CD and play them. Though, here are its flaws:

1. No Song name display
2. Alakaline Batteries only last 160 mins
3. Remote control does not have a LCD

It has a great Album feature, where you can store folders (Artists p.eg) and skip between them. 100 secs Antishcok: I ve dropped it and it continued to play. I know that there is a coming version with Song name display: 67H. Great Value.

Summary: Samsung MDC-MP67: great sound, good buy
Review: First I must point out ... [that Samsung's web site claims ID3 tag support] as a feature, and the player does NOT support tagging....

Besides the lack of ID3 tag support, this CD MP3 player is great. The sound quality can't be beat and the remote makes operation very handy. What with the low price, this is probably one of the better players around. It seems the players that come with ID3 tagging often don't have the remote, which I feel is necessary for what I'm using it for. I'd rather have the remote than the tag support. And for the price, who can complain? At least it does support folders/albums. You can navigate by album and song number--just print out a numbered index of what's on the CD. If you want to know what's playing, just refer to your list.

I did find that this player does not support Packet-written CD-Rs and CD-RWs, which is a bit of an inconvenience but no big deal.

Battery life is average; none of these portable players will last forever on one set of batteries. It does support NiMH rechargables. The default is 2 AAAs but the player comes with a battery pack that takes an extra 2 AAs for longer life. The player comes with a AC adapter that will charge the AAAs.

The earbuds are good quality, no need to buy new ones.

Overall, the sound quality is the biggest plus, and no amount of frills can make up for a player with sub-average sound. For this price range, and for people who need a remote more than tag support, I would highly recommend the Samsung.

Summary: Good, but has big flaws.
Review: first, compared to every other CD/MP3 player that you can purchase right now, the Samsung just feels plain rugged. People say that aluminum dents easily and all, but the player feels absolutely solid and my last aluminum cd-player (Panasonic SL-SX510) has lasted me for 2 years and hundreds of drops. it also doesn't hurt that this thing just looks plain sexy. needless to say, this was the first selling point for me.

this player has an amazing decoding engine under the lid. all the music i threw at it (usually 160-256kbps) sound great with nice highs and pretty good bass reproduction once you turn on the SBS feature. the included headphones are the standard variety (cheap), and the S/N ratio isn't too hot. i could hear a slight hiss in the background even if i pause the music.

the startup time for the player depends on how many mp3's you have on your CD. my 700MB CDR with 115 songs took close to 40 seconds before a song was played after turning it on. there are no such thing as playlists or even id3 tags according to this player. song management consists of 'albums' which are nothing more than directories inside the CD. hitting the handy 'album' button (this feature can even be turned off) will result in skipping to the next directory. Songs on the LCD will show first the song number in the directory, then the number of the directory itself. if you listen to a mp3 cd long enough, you'll remember which directory is which.

the negatives are what drops this product down for me. battery life is absolutely horrid using standard AAA batteries. anyone who wants to use Rechargable batteries will have to make due with 3-4 hours TOPS with this player (btw, this time goes up to 5 hours if you just play standard AudioCDs). using AA batteries with the included 'backpack' expands it to 10-12, but the look is pretty ugly. you can tell that the add-on backpack was produced by an outside company. my old panasonic cd-player managed 9 hours on AAA batteries, and up to 25 with an added 'backpack' (which looks much better IMO).

the remote included is handy, but again, it feels extremely cheap and looks to be made by an outside company. the previous/next buttons are about as wide as an average person's fingernail and very hard to press down. i also wish that instead of the 'Mode' button (for repeat/repeat 1) they replaced that with the 'album' button. since this player is usually in my bookbag, it's pretty inconvenient to keep hitting 'next' if i want to get to the next album.

end result - battery life is tolerable as long as you use the extra backpack, and this player is absolutely rugged in construction and should last you for a long time. mp3 reproduction is fantastic, although the startup time could be a bit of a hassle. if you're looking for id3 and/or playlist playback, do not purchase this. if you can live without text scrolling across the LCD, this is a pretty good player to get.

just buy new headphones and maybe some rechargable batteries.

Summary: OMG IT ROCKS!
Review: Hey! Just writing to tell you people how awesome this product is. I just got this and I am really impressed. This thing just doesnt skip. It just doesnt, and I have dropped it too, but heck, it still works! It supports MP3 and CD with good quality, has all the good stuff, althought the remote is pretty [bad]. Its worth getting. Theres also this funny face that shows up on the screen when you lisen to music, anyway, everyone at school likes it, so get on and show it off too.....

Summary: It was good...
Review: I didn't know it was refurbished.
But..
I was very happy when I got this CD player.

I has a album function, and it was especially good, cause I could pick a song I want to listen out of 120 songs.

I want to recommend this item, if you don't mind refurbished goods.

Summary: THIS THING [STINKS}!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I got it and it did NOT read CD-RWs. The remote is for a 4-year old's hands. It cuts out about 10 seconds off the end of each song. It stops about every 70 seconds to buffer more music, then doesnt start again for a while. It takes up a lot of room to be able to use the AA batteries. No sound quality. Those were just some of the problems. IT [stinks]!!!

My advise for those who already wasted a bill is to take it back and say its defective and get a Riovolt.
