Summary: One of the Funniest and Deepest movies I've ever seen
Review: 100 Girls is a great movie, and i recommend it to everyone. It is a funny movie but with very deep ideas about the relationship between men and women. Matt's quest is full of great moments from Crick, to Patty, to dora, to his rommate rod, and lets not forget francesca. This movie will keep u laughing and thinking to the end, and the mystery girl is a complete surprise. IF ur not sure about buying it, cruise through hbo/cinemax/starz/encore, one of em plays it pretty much every week.

Summary: Better than most
Review: 100 girls [is] definately one of the better teen movies out there, though paradoxically it's too graphic for that age group. It traffics in gender and personal stereotypes, yet treats its subjects with affection. All in all, it has a heartwarming message and wild humor that will keep you laughing often!

Summary: Great comedy for you...
Review: 100 Girls, despite what other people say, is still a very entertaining and intellegent film. I think a lot of people look at this movie as if it's supposed to be "sophisticated" or "formal", but the truth is if you look at the movie with any of those views, you're going to miss the true heart of the film which is a very funny and romantic story of a guy trying to find a girl he's fallen in love with and doesn't know who she is. Matt (Johnathan Tucker)was in the elevator of his dorm during a blackout. In the elevator with him was a girl he didn't know (he doesn't get to see her face). When the power goes out the two fall for eachother. They end up having sex in the elevator. When Matt awakes the girl is gone, and all he has to remember her by is her underwear (not the most flattering way). Rob (James DeBello) is Matt's roomate, and by far the funniest part of the movie. Rob's a self-indulgent man, who thinks only about sex and women. He is even trying to lenghthen his penius with "Penial Power". Matt has a chore to find his dream girl when he has to look through a dorm of 100 girls (hence the title). Patty (Emmanuelle Chriqui) plays the artys "slut" in the movie, and is often there during Matt's journey. So Matt's quest finds him doing many humiliating things all in hopes of finding his dream girl. I won't ruin the movie if you haven't seen it, so the rest is up to you. I do however recommend this movie if only for it's political commentaries. There's so many views and ideas in this movie that are so true to real life like Men's idea of sex, and the power of a woman's breast. It's great. I recommend this movie because it will entertain you. It's mostly an underground thing because this movie went straight to DVD. Jaime Pressly, Katherine Heigl and Larisa Oleynik also make appearances as some of the many girls Matt encounters on his way. If you like comedy movies like Amercian Pie then you will mostly likely like this movie. It's a great buy for your comedy collection, so pick it up.

Summary: The Amazing Emmanuelle
Review: 1st of all, I would've given 100Girls a higher rating if Emmanuelle would've had more scenes in the movie. 2nd, I just want to say how amazingly telented and breath-takingly beautiful I think Emmanuelle Chriqui is. I've been hypnotized by her talent and beauty since the first time I watched snow day. I can't get e-nuf of her,and I'm hoping she does more movies soon so I can watch her talet blossom even more. In the event that she ever reads this, ( you're a very gorgeous young woman, also very talented and I wish you all the best...) Jeff M. Youngblood 11052002

Summary: Superb argument
Review: Another teen movie, NOT at all. Altough I went to see this movie by 'accident' I was surprised. I don't know how Michael Davis wrote the argument, it's superb. It's so simple and at the same time so real, I think anyone will find a bit of himself in this movie. The way teens think, what are they going to do in the future, why it's like this and not like that, it's a phase by which we've been. An extremely pragmatic movie. A must see.

P.S. It's unfortunate they didn't get a distributor in USA, but it's their loss. In Europe altough it was released in theaters there was no publicity what so ever. Life goes on ;-)

Summary: Misleading? In a good way...
Review: Don't expect to see 100 actual girls in this movie...
I stumbled across this movie when my friends and I went to the movie store, and we rented it. Suprisingly it was good enough for me to purchase on here. 100 Girls is about a man's search for a "mysterious" girl he has an "experience" with in a dark elevator. Basically, the flick revolves around him finding her. Amidst the twists and turns, he meets some interesting people. Its a good movie, I'd recommend renting it before buying it.

Summary: Teen movie for the thinking person
Review: Funny teen movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. You see Matt looking for the girl he had a fling with on a dark elevator and he enters the world of college women to do it. It's funny because you will recognize every type of person you ever met in school, the brain, the beauty, the dog, the bully, the sensitive one etc. Also goes into why they are like that but not in a preachy way. It's also a good movie because there are no superstars here but you will recognize a few of the actors, so the movie stands on it's own merits. I would reccomend it.

Summary: There is Almost a Good Movie Here
Review: How do you rate a straight to video comedy? Do you compare it to the cinema greats? Do you compare it to the worst? Or do you try to compare it on its own merits? There is a reason films like 100 GIRLS are destined to find their way into the refuse bin at blockbuster. They just don't work.

That's not to say 100 GIRLS doesn't have merit. I think its heart is in the right place. It is attempting to take the old romantic comedy genre and turn it on its head. I'll bet there is even a better and yet unfilmable first draft of this film's screenplay out there somewhere, it would probably make a great read. Too bad it would never make a great movie.

100 GIRLS follows a young man named Matt (Jonathan Tucker, The Virgin Suicides) on a quest to find the girl of his dreams. He's met her already, in the elevator of the girl's dorm during a blackout. They laughed, they talked, and they even had sex. Now he's fallen in love, but she won't show her face. So he sets out to find her. There are a hundred girls to chose from but you as an audience member wind up meeting five or six.

The biggest problem is the tone of the movie. It's a literate drama destroyed by silly jokes. Matt pontificates (that's the only way I can explain it) likes Shakespeare and in the next the moment is acting like Charlie Chaplin. He'll say something completely sweet and good natured and then is called on to stand in front of a bunch of girls and scream `I want to full on kiss your Clitoris.' While the film intends it to be sentimental it's moments like that where you cringe.

Plus it forces Matt to be really creepy. He digs through panty drawers, spends a decent amount of time dressed as a girl, and the only other guy (James DeBello, Swimfan) he hangs around with dangles weights from his penis. Are all these women blind? Because for some reason they seems to like him and even fall in love with him. If I had been a girl, I ask the most important question, why the hell does this guy get to spend all his time in the girl's dorm? I'd probably complain.

You know what the biggest problem with Matt is he won't shut the hell up. I have a feeling if they told this story from the girls point of view they'd all be telling him to shut up. He's like that guy whom thinks he's so bright he forgets to listen to what's going on around him.

As for the girls we meet its Emmanuelle Chriqui (Detroit Rock City) who is the most enchanting. She plays Patty the slut with so much more vulnerability than the part deserves. She's got these amazing eyes and this adorable persona. When she's not on the screen you long for her to be there. It's just too bad there are 99 other girls. I kind of wished the film were told from her perspective, it would have been an interesting glimpse.

I do not recommend 100 Girls. But I don't hate it either. I'll bet writer/director Michael Davis (Eight Days A Week) had high hopes for this movie. There's a lot of hard work and love thrown into the picture. It's just too bad that the movie fails more times than it enchants. There is almost an okay movie here.

Summary: A pleasant surprise of a romantic comedy
Review: I bought this DVD for $5 out of a bargain bin at a local department store. I often check the bargain bins, because you never know what gems you might find. This movie turned out to be one of the gems. It is a low budget teen-sploitation type movie with gratuitous nudity, but rises above the norm for that genre. It has some interesting twists as he tries to figure out which of the girls was the one he met in the elevator during the blackout. You as the viewer might have some ideas as to which one it is, or which one you think might be best. There are many surprises throughout the movie. It will never be a classic, but if you don't mind the nudity, and sexual type humor mixed in, it is a cute romantic comedy.
