Rating: Summary: For all those who can't see their inner potential Review: At first I was turned off by the book because it was a Sci-Fi book. When I was finally convinced to read it I found that it was much more than just a Sci-Fi book. The book follows the so-called childhood of an exceptionally intelligent boy by the name of Andrew Wiggen. Andrew, called Ender, is a third child which is a negative thing in a population controlled world. The world is under threat of another alien invasion from the buggers and as a result Ender is taken from his family to attend battle school, in hopes that he may be the one that can lead earth's armies to victory. As Ender deals with the seperation from his beloved sister and the challenges of battle school he finds inner strength he never dreamed he was capable of. As I read the book, my heart went out to this poor boy in all of his trials. It is an exceptional book that helps people understand that being the "best" at something, is not always the best situation to be in. After reading this book, I went on to read Speaker of the Dead, and I am now finishing Xenocide. While neither of them have captured me like Ender's Game, they are still worth reading.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Stellar Review: Ender's Game is a cut above the rest. Orson Scott Card's writing shines. The entire book is gripping, you feel everything that Ender does. I didn't want it to end, and when it did I was in tears. Ender's Game is a classic.
Rating: Summary: must read at all costs!! Review: This is a very gripping story. You will not want to put down. An amazing plot. Very well built characters. Dark at many times. Full of surprises. If you have been looking for a great sci-fi book look no furter! I do not want to give away the plot but it is about a boy named Andrew (ender) wiggin.
Rating: Summary: Top Ten Review: This is close to if not the BEST book I've ever read. Great writing, great story, hard to put down, sorry it ended...then there were sequels!!
Rating: Summary: One of the best novels of all time Review: Ender's Game is one of the great masterpieces of science fiction....original, exciting, and most of all provocative. All great novels talk about the human condition, in one way or another. The best ones, describe themes that almost all people are unaware of, until someone writes a great work about them....then they explode into the awareness with great emotion and with great force. Ender's Game is one of these.Read it and see.
Rating: Summary: One of the finest SF books ever written. Review: For anyone who has not experienced the saga of Ender Wiggin I cannot recommend this book enough. Following the early life of Andrew (Ender) Wiggin, the book captures the interest right off. It quickly moves to the battle school where children are forged into the military leaders of the future. One cannot help but pity Ender as he is forged into one of the greatest military leaders in human histoy. The story line is well conceived, the plot moves quickly and the characters are interesting. I would easily place this book in my top five SF novels of all time. If you have never read this novel, read it. If you have read it, read it again...it's worth it!
Rating: Summary: great but Review: This was a great book but i thought that it went a little to deep into some things and didn't go deep enough into others.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book. Review: Great book for children and adults. Anyone, even those who are not fans of science fiction, will find this book absolutely impossible to put down.
Rating: Summary: Surely you will love this book!!! Review: I really recommend this book for sci-fi lovers. One of the best thing in about this book is that it talks about the internet and the web but it wasn't even invented back then. I am planning on buying a new and nicer copy because it has been torn and has been wet. It deserves to have a very nice copy. I may only be 10 but I know a good book when I see one. I am going to recommend this book to all my friends (even though they don't read). I have already read THE HOBBIT and I am reading GOOD OMENS and THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and it is faboulus! Trust me I know a good book when I see one. Read ENDER'S GAME!!!!
Rating: Summary: An excellent read for anyone Review: I had no clue what this book was. I was searching for another good book that I would really enjoy. I stumbled upon Ender's Game and decided to read the customer reviews because I don't trust the editorial reviews. All of them were excellent reviews so I bought it. I finished Ender's Game in about 7 days. I am a Michael Crichton fan and found this book to be not only fun and exciting with some really good surprises, but it was also an easy read. For that reason is probably why it is a commonly read book for Junior and High School students. Read this! You will not be disappointed...I promise!
