Rating: Summary: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Ender's game has totally revitalized my opinion toward science fiction! Kudos to Orson Scott Card. The style in which OS Card writes is just simply amazing. He does so well in bringing out the feelings and emotions of the characters. The bonds that are created between Ender and Valentine and the complications of Peter were so greatly written that I cannot explain it. I am now waiting to start the Alvin Maker series once I finish the Ender's Game quartet. SIMPLY A MUST READ!
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I EVER READ AND I READ ALOT ! ! ! Review: I just read Enders Game and I need too share it with somebody... so here I am online on one of the best sites telling you what is on my mind. There is no doubt about it when I say Orson S. Card is one of the best SF writers on this planet we call Earth. I am still moved by the greatness of the story and I still feel the emotions rushing through me. I don't know if I should cry or go right to town and get all other books that Orson S. Card wrote... The story brought out the worst but it also brought out the best in me. I felt anger as Ender was pushed too his limits and beyond. I felt pride as he won games even when everything was against him and when everything was twisted and turned too make him lose. Too break him down... I also felt saddens that he felt after the battle that they were shaping him all his life for. And on the end I had a terrible feeling of waste.... Annihilation of race that meant no harm that felt and loved just as much as he did. That treasured life just as much as Ender did and never felt any joy in taking it and finally a race that was miss understood and did not have the knowledge too explain, too say they are sorry. Even now the only thing I am thinking of is the book I laid down 10 minutes ago... I feel as if I should tell you the whole story, I feel as everybody should know this story but there is just so much that you can do in the 1000 words that they let me write here... I am a big believer that there is life on other planets in other galaxies and that one day there will be first contact... I didn't look at this book as a story as much as something that might happen. One day an alien race might come here, a race so different then our own that we might not understand it, that we might not be able to talk with... so what will we do? So my advice too all you readers out there is too read this book and to think what the future might bring us!
Rating: Summary: A work of art Review: I can't say that I've ever read a better book. This book had it all. Many people said that Ender was an unrealistic character, too adult -- no. They missed the book's entire point. Every few generations, someone is born who can totally alter the course of human history. Ender was this someone, but the world knew he was coming. The military used him as a tool, trying to squeeze all his potential out before his maturity. He was betrayed by the world, and treated like an unthinking weapon. Simply an incredible story.
Rating: Summary: Ender's Game Review: Please read this book. The great on has written it and he so commands you to buy and read it. Go ahead, READ IT!
Rating: Summary: Ender's Game RULES! Review: ENDER'S GAME RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: how do you sum up a book of this magnitude? Review: This is possibly the greatest book ever written. The reason "some people" gave it one satr reviews is because the don't understand it at all. Period. The mock what they don't understand. Do NOT let this interfer with your judgement. Go out and buy this book.
Rating: Summary: One of the greatest sci-fi novels that I've read Review: This is a great book, although it is a bit confusing and a bit dull in places. The characters are very well done, and the ending is incredible, although the last few pages, in my opinion, shouldn't have existed.
Rating: Summary: Ender's game is the best work of sci-fi in the whole world Review: Ender's Game is the best book that I have ever read. I read it all in one sitting. This is the best book in the Ender Wiggin quartet. Orson scott card's genius and wit are what makes this book so amazing, and you'll never guess how it ends(and yes it does unfortunatly end). The story of Ender wiggin will be so exciting that you'll never put the book down. If you buy anything from amazon.com make it this.
Rating: Summary: Paper trip Review: This book is the kind of book that you take up, read a couple pages without suspecting anything, fetch something to eat and read the rest. It might have a slightly disgusting idea as a backbone, an inhuman six year old making miracles while having no more than three hours of sleep a day, but that's all easy to close your eyes before as Card creates an immersion so complete, you'll be thinking like little Ender when you read the last page. A good thing is also that he creates two simulteneous paths of action which interweave not completely, but only enough to make it a book, something other writers seldom do, but rather separate into two books. The purest, truest form of entertainment avalible at this time this book.
Rating: Summary: It was one of the best books I've ever read Review: In the first few chapters I wasn't too excited about reading Enders Game, since Ender was a six-year-old kid. But later in the book it really hooked me in. I thought the Battle Room idea was really great. All of the time while reading I wished that I could be one of the soldiers fighting in anti-gravity. Card really made me feel what Ender felt. I felt sorry for Ender, the way they kept tricking him and keeping things from him. It was spooky when he found the Giant's Corpse in a "bugger" world. It was probably one of the best books I've ever read.
