Summary: A great story about freinds and cruelty of the world
Review: The book Holes is fantastic book about the world and reality. This book shows that not everthing will always go your way. For instance when Stanly Yelnats (the main character)is accused of commiting a crime that he did not do, he is shocked that the reality is that he is going to have to pay the time and go to Camp Green Lake. This book also brings out why people act the way they do. Lets take the warden for example she is a mean lady who runs the camp. Stanly can not find out why she is so mean, until he finds a piece of gold and the warden snatches it from him. Then Stanly starts to understand what the warden is after. He finds she is so mean because she wants the boys at the camp to dig her holes so that she can find more gold. Because she believes in a legend that states that there is gold buried somewhere on Camp Green Lake. So if you ever get a chance to read this book I would go for it.

Summary: WANT TO DIG YOURSELF INTO A GOOD BOOK?
Review: The book Holes is greatly written. It is about a young boy named Stanley he has done something very wrong he has . And now Stanley has to pick beteen going to jail and going to Camp Green Lake. Stanley chooses to go to the myserious Camp Green Lake. When he gets there he is greeted by a man, this hard, strict man is Mr.Sir. Mr. Sir yells for another man, and this man's name is Mr.Pendanski. Mr.Pendanski is Stanley Consoler. Stanley is taken to a tent which is tent D. There were boys already in the tent he suppoused thouse would be his group. Now Stanley had not seen any lake around. So he asked a boy in the tent he just started laghing, so he asked him again he anwsered "there is no lake here you dig a hole each day." Then the next day he to dug a hole it had to be 5ft. deep and 5ft. long. One day a group mate Zero asked him how to read and write, and if he could teach him. Stanley said he would if Zero dug his own hole and his hole. Then one day Zero ran away and Mr.Sir told them earlyer that there was no water for 100 miles. Just on the third day...... wait I not going to tell you the whole story. I really liked this book it had suspence, and on some parts you needed a box of tissues. Enjoy!

Summary: Jeanelle's view of HOLES
Review: The book Holes is like a sandwich with everything on it! It has adventure, love, excitement you name it. What Stanley Yelnats thinks is punishment is actually his greatest experience ever! He becomes confident, strong, and finds a best friend. Can Stanley break his family curse? Read the book that inspired the movie.

Holes is one of the greatest books I have ever read. It was so engrossing that I had a lot of trouble putting it down. It was a story of how the past effected the present. I loved how it tied together in the end. I love happy endings. Stanley and hector bonded an inseparable friendship.

Summary: Holes
Review: The book holes is more or less a book for teens, not for those who consider themselves to be young adults. The main idea of the book is that a boy gets sent to juvenile camp for a crime he does not commit, then as punishment he and the other boys in the camp are forced to dig holes five feet deep by five feet wide. One of the main ideas that I notice is corruption in a corrections facility. All the guards seem to be corrupt, as well as the warden who is an evil woman for she is the reason for the digging. I can compare this story to a movie called the Shawshank Redemption. In it, a man is convicted for a crime he did not commit, the warden, the guards are corrupt, a person in the facility knows that he did it, and that person is sought after by the warden to be silenced. I recommend this book to readers who like books about kids who go from the bottom to the top.
