Review: Maniac Magee was a delightful book! It was full of emotion and taught me many things. I learned how hard it is for some kids and how they deal with it. Maniac had a caring soul and a genuine love for books! His love for books helped him through alot of his troubles. His fondness of the Beales was touching! This book was definetly a "Five Star" book. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Summary: Maniac Magee, A Child's Dream
Review: We thought that Maniac Magee was an excellent story. It had great writing. Jerry Spinelli used a lot of similies and metaphors that drew a picture in your mind when you read it. We think that Jerry Spinelli created a serious book about prejudice. Besides the fact that it was a serious book we found ourselves laughing out loud at certain parts. The main character, Jeffrey Magee was ''one part truth, two parts legend and three parts snowball." In the book, we follow Jeffery Magee through his journey to find a home. We highly recommend Maniac Magee to all of you.

Review: The book Maniac Magee was a book about aboy that can run very fast, can untie knots, and loves to read. I highly recommend this book to kids of all ages. If I was a teacher this book would most definitely be in my classroom! Also if there was a rating higher than ten that would be where my rating for Maniac Magee would be.

Summary: This book has shown the way society is actually still today
Review: I enjoyed reading this book. I had to read it for a childrens lit class in college. I felt that it had alot to do with society today with the blacks and whites and the distance that is still kept today, unfortunately. The book was humorous at times and then of course sad as well. Even though it is not possible for a little boy to live life the way Maniac did, all children that are the understanding age should read this book. To get an understanding of what not to do and how we should treat others not just by the color of their skin. I have read this book a few times and being that I am 26 years old, it has made an impact on the way I vision things in life. I highly reccommend this book to all!
