Rating: Summary: Disturbing. Offensive. I didn't expect this at all. Review: I've been a fan of the Hannity & Colmes show. I bought this book expecting something less inflammatory than Ann Coulter. More articulate, and less Hollywood than Rush. OH-MY-GOD. He spent way too much time-to the point of obsession about Homosexuality. I couldn't finish the book. I'm sorry. The tone of this book is nothing comparable to the show. Sorry Hannity, you've soured me. I no longer watch the show,( i really enjoyed watching it)and i will no longer purchase books by this individual. What a shame.
Rating: Summary: Okay but really not as good as Bill Review: I dunno. Something about this book just didn't thrill me. Seems a little wimpy and not too hot. Hard to understand in places. I think O'reilly does a better job. In my opinion Bill has got more meat on the bone.
Rating: Summary: Just another lying, lying lair. Review: He just lies. Thats it. Bull-S**t right-wing propaganda. Why else does he belittle Colmes on his show? Why else does he have a chapter in Franken's book (Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them)? If he could pull his head out of his ass, then maybe he could be "fair and balanced", like the bulls**t motto of his mother channel. Also, this man is a class A homophobe. Look at the obsession with gaity in this book -- it disgusts me, not even that he wrote it (I'm a libertarian!), but that people actually read this trash and agree with it. In closing, I say: Alan Colmes kicks royal ass. The left is right and the right is wrong. In the words of Jefferson Airplane: "Got a revolution -- Got to revolution". Peace, and don't buy this guys schtick for a second. LIARS WHO LIE: -Bill O'Reilly -Ann Coulter -George W. -Sean Hannity -Condolisa Rice -The almighty fat-ass himself, Rush Limbaugh
Rating: Summary: A huge disappointment Review: I'm a political conservative and agree with Hannity's position on many important issues. So, unlike many who've panned his book because they disagree with his political ideology, I'm panning his book simply because it's poorly written. Simply put, Let Freedom Ring is a dull read. And Hannity's pedantic and overbearing style are to blame. Reading the book reminded me of those times in college where I registered for what should have been extremely interesting courses, only to find myself bored to tears because of how the professor treated the material. Hannity is a fine radio/TV host. He should stick to what he's good at. Next time he should hire a ghost writer.
Rating: Summary: "Sams Fight For Justice/Schools Shocking Secret" Review: I agree that we as American Parents should let Freedom Ring from every School House across this Great Country of ours, that not just one but "All Children" should be Protected from Preditors even the "Abusvive Educator Preditors" that we have somehow allowed in our Schools to Teach our children Please visit my son's webpage to get more info. on what happen to shock me into making these statements. http://www.sam.webpage66.com {Education/Safety} They do Belong to gather!
Rating: Summary: Wow, what a glob of lies and hate Review: This book is an embarrassment to literate people, and people who are illiterate are lucky that they don't have the opportunity to read this piece of trash. Sean Hannity must be either the most ignorant person on the planet, or the biggest liar on the planet. Who did the editing for this piece of garbage? The words "fact checking" never applied to the editors of this gem. There are enough skewed facts, misquotes, and flat out lies in this book to last a typical politician a lifetime. The name of this book should have been "Let Freedom Wrong, Winning the War over Liberalism by Way of Lies and Slander". I truly feel sorry for people that believe the hate speech spewed by morons such as Sean Hannity.
Rating: Summary: Can't we have "no star" reviews? Review: Not the worst political tome ever written but very close. I was lent this pile of recycled wood pulp by a friend. I wouldn't buy it if my life depended on it. 4th July 2004 - Independence From America Day
Rating: Summary: Healthy book. Review: If you want to know how to get rid of that piece of flem in the back of your throat, read this book. That is what I mean by healthy book.
Rating: Summary: Liberals, Chill Out! Review: I consider myself a Hannity fan. I listen to his show when I can, watch him on Fox, and have read this book. Even though I am a fan, I sometimes find him slightly shrill and offputting, but basically agree with everything he says. Perhaps the most important thing he stresses in this book is the problem of illegal immigration. Hannity only wants them to immigrate LEGALLY. What's wrong with that? Also, I have always believed, even when I was a registered Democrat, that the Clintons (especially Hillary) were grandstanding attention mongers (being from Arkansas, I spent a lifetime listening to the drivel spewed from their mouths over the years). What I've heard in so many of the "1-Star" interviews has nothing to do with the merits of the book itself. It has to do with the vicous ramblings of desperate liberals who, in the immortal words of Nicholson, "can't handle the truth." Yes, the truth may be presented in a manner which many may find shrill or even offensive, but GET OVER IT!! If you hate Sean Hannity so much, why are you reading the book!? Actually, I don't think that 90% of the negative reviewers here actually DID read the book. It's fine to disagree but some of the shrill, vicous reviewers here are only serving to further alienate liberals from the rest of the population (please refer to the recent CA recall for a prime example). Cheers!
Rating: Summary: The Subtitle of This Book Is Really Very Funny... Review: The subtitle of this book is really very funny. The basic meaning of "liberal" is "one who loves liberty." It comes from the Latin "liberalis," root "liber," which means "free." Philosophically, "liberal" describes the belief that the right to be autonomous--a free agent, i.e., not enslaved--resides within each individual, as a "right," rather than a privilege bestowed arbitrarily by authority. The whole idea of a liberal state is that every individual is subject to the same laws, regardless of status, wealth, or favor. The United States is the quintessential liberal nation in the entire history of the World. The opposite of "liberal" is "authoritarian."
