Rating: Summary: The Best Alanna Book... Review: And the Alanna books are really good!! It had some really good comedy, battle scenes, and romance all rolled into one!!! And Faithful RULES!!
Rating: Summary: The Song of the lioness Review: This is a great book. It has lots of action and suspence. It is fiction, but has events that any girl can relate to
Rating: Summary: Please read this if you have a good imagination! Review: This book, the second in the Lioness series, is in my opinion the best. I first read the series when I was in yr 7 at school [aged about 12] and it instantly captured my interest as I had been reared by my mother on fairy tales and Tolkein as far back as I can remember. Alanna is in many ways the perfect female role model for young girls; they can identify with her problems and moral situations as well as wish to aspire to be as determined and go-getting as her. But on a completely different level, these books are FUN!! easy reading for all ages with an enchanting and unashamedly fantastic style; the kind of book you read as a girl and then re-discover 5 years later when clearing out your room. It's like finding an old friend! re-reading the Lioness series is delightfully nostalgic.
Rating: Summary: Great story! Review: If you like magic and adventure, you'll love this book and the rest of the series. Warning!! If you read this book, you will enjoy it so much, you'll have to buy the entire series, "Alanna series, The Immortals series and Protector of the small series. Excellent author.
Rating: Summary: In the Hand of the Goddess review Review: I thought 'In the Hand of the Goddess' was the best book in the series, because Alanna more or less 'discovers her real self'. If you love Fantasy, it's definetely going to be a favorite... it is filled with action and suspense. I also thought the characters were well written, and the villain was neat (in my opinion a neat villain makes the hero/heroine more interesting *_*) and all together the descriptions were good and it was very well written. You felt like you were there watching each scene play out and you really felt how the characters did.
Rating: Summary: Alanna! Alanna! Read this book! Review: I read this book last year and I loved it. It's an excellent fantasy novel with plenty of action, suspence, and character development. You even get to see a bit of Alanna getting in touch with her feminine side...If you liked this book, I highly recomend the VHS/DVD Revolutionary Girl Utena series, Slayers series, and Magic Knight Rayearth series.
Rating: Summary: I love This Book Review: Alanna has finally become a squire and is under the comand of prince Jonathan who is much more to Alanna then a prince he is her best friend (and lover) and one of the few who knows she is a girl. In this book Alanna is forced to face her fears of love and the evil Duke Roger (we all knew that was coming) Alanna is soon to find out that the king of theivs is in love her as well as prince Jonathan (this is gonna be good, I have been waiting for that to happen). She soon falls in love with Jon and faces her enimey Duke Roger I'm not saying any more or I'm going to get a lot of hate mail. But I like the facked that Alanna felling in love with Jon I can totally see them together George is not working for me sorry for those of you who want to see them togther but it just isn't working for me. Any way read the book I swear you will love it I keep finding myself runing back to my favrit parts of the book I know I'm not going to sell this one I normally don't read at all because it is very hard to get me intrested but I rate this book very high on the charts.
Rating: Summary: Point of view from a 7th grade girl Review: In the Hand of the Goddess, the second book in the Song of the Lioness quartet, is truly a great book. It was even better than the first. I liked this book because it showed who Alanna really was. The book introduces a lot of new things like more magic, talking cats, love and much more. She earns her shield and finally defeats Duke Roger of Conte, a person she has hated ever since he came to the castle. I just couldn't put this book down.
Rating: Summary: Better Than the First Review: "In the Hand of the Goddess" was better than the first book in the series. However, readers younger than twelve should probably wait to read this one. There was quite a bit of subject matter that anyone younger than teens probably shouldn't read. It's not very graphic, but still... I had wanted Alanna and Jonathan to fall in love, but I was just hoping for innocent smooching, not some of the stuff they do (sleeping together, etc.)It would be more enjoyable for teens than young children.
Rating: Summary: EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST Review: I love the second book of this quartet evn better than the first. I didn't think that was even possibel after i read the first. Alanna, now squire to the Prince, finds herself facing her fears with new determination. More is revealed about Alanna, the books heroine, in this book. DAnger constantly finds its way to Alanna and her friends. New characters are created. READ IT!
