Summary: Another Cussler classic!
Review: Clive Cussler lovers will fall in love again when they venture into this masterpiece of suspense and adventure. I have never been so in awe of a fictional character as I am with Dirk Pitt, the hero of Clive Cussler's novels. He is without a doubt the reason the word "stud" was ever used to describe a man! This novel starts off hot and just gets hotter as Dirk Pitt and the undersea organization he works for called NUMA tangle with villians in an attempt to find the "golden chain of Huascar." If you want to know more, read the book yourself! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I have to admit that after reading the reviews of others on this novel, I am suprised to see negative reviews on the basis of its realistic quality! People, get a life! The reason it is called a fictional thriller is because it is not real! Go read an autobiography or something if your idea of a good time isn't being captivated by an adventure thriller that you can't put down and will read over and over again! Anyways, this book is a must read for anyone who loves a good action thriller. And when your done, your venture into the world of Dirk Pitt will have just begun!

Summary: Fun stuff
Review: I can't believe it took me so long, but after having read Raise the Titanic! and Dragon, I still read through half of Inca Gold before I finally realized that what Cussler writes is pure, unabashed pulp. I mean, the name Dirk Pitt should have been the first tip-off. His storylines are so cheesy, the dialogue so corny, the situations so outrageous, it would almost fit right in with the popular fiction of the thirties and forties, and it's just as fun to read. I especially enjoyed the treasure-hunting plot to this one.

Summary: A great look at Dirk Pitt's world!
Review: This was a great book--Dirk Pitt set a nifty trap! If you like James Bond, you will love Dirk Pitt. After this book I went to the library to get more Clive Cussler books. They should adapt more of these for young readers!

Summary: Must . . . save . . . brain . . .from . . . self-destruction
Review: I really hope this novel wasn't meant to be taken seriously, because after reading the first 5 chapters I could have written the rest of the novel. Here's the pattern: Beautiful woman is in danger, Dirk Pitt arrives, Dirk Pitt almost gets killed, but manages to crawl back from the brink of death to save beautiful woman and loyal companions from evil supervillain. Repeat until you've reached 600 pages of brainless, pointless action.

Summary: Can't put the book down!!
Review: Great adventure book. I wish the book could go on.. maybe Inca Gold 2

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unputdownable
Review: Clive Cussler has this way of connecting you to the characters in his novels. You want to laugh with them or cry with them. When they get mad you are ready to do battle to save the world. Inca Gold was no exception, taking us into the relatively unknown and VERY dangerous world of art and antiquities theft and smuggling. Those old Indian carvings gave a chill and I was not the one who took them

Summary: Excellent reading, keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Review: I had never read anything but romance books, as soon as I read Inca Gold I was hooked on adventure books. I have since read every Dirk Pitt Book & Sea Hunters, and am waiting for Clive Culsslers next book. He has a great imagination and his books always have twist and turns you don't expect!

Summary: This book is da' Bomb!!!!!!!!
Review: I was only 10 when I read this book and I thought it would take months to read but as soon as I started it I couldn't put it down. Now I'm 12 and reading the abridged version to my 9 year old sister, and she loves it too!!!!!!!!It was an action/thriller that boggled my mind. I could feel Loren's pain. I could see all that gold in the cavern carved out by the Rio Pitt. I also love how Clive puts himself into every book.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Flat writing, by the numbers plot, boring hero
Review: This is one of the dullest "thrillers" I've ever encountered. Friends tell me that Cussler is usually better, but I doubt I'll take a crack at another one of his books.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Greeeeaaat!
Review: I was 13 when I read this book, and I thought it would be impossible to get through the 570 plus pages. But I finished it in no time! This is about as exiting as you can get. While not always really realistic, it is still very good. Anyway, it is a fiction book.
