Summary: Perfect Love Casts Out ALL Fear ((Go SimonPeter)
Review: This book is wonderful, and has really changed my life! I knew that held some fear in my life, but through the reading of this book, God revealed all the fear that I really did have hidden in me. This book is choc full of the exposure of fear and what we can do to overcome it. So many people today are missing out on a wonderful life because they literally suffer from fear and anxiety. This book lets us know just where and what fear is, where its hiding, how to expose it, and yes, how to overcome it! This is a must who wants to experience the true meaning of 'Perfect Love Casts out all fear' This book will help you grow spiritually and, I think, bring you even closer to Jesus.

Summary: Get Out of Your Boat!
Review: This book was a tremendous help to me. Sometimes the most difficult challenge we face is working outside our "comfort zone". But this is exactly what God wants us to do, learn to trust him. This is a fantastic book by an author who has been there and done it.

Summary: I may be walkin on water, but it isn't very deep
Review: This book was... alright... I mean... It's got some pretty fundamental truths in it... but it doesn't go any further than that. I found it frustrating actually how it never progressed as deep as I hoped for. Now... something's to be said for simple pure truth, but in all honesty, I reaped more meditating on the title of the book than on the contents of the book itself.

Not trying to be a discouragement to the author or anything... I just think that as far as spiritual milk goes, this book is straight from mother.

I *highly* recommend Spiritual Devotions ed. Richard Foster, Spiritual Classics ed. Richard Foster, and My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers.

Summary: IT'S JUST AS GOOD AS THE TITLE
Review: This book will speak to your heart, no matter what stage of life, and no matter what situation you're encountering, no matter what decisions you are facing, little ones or major ones.
It's for everyone. That is what makes this book such a keeper. It's a book that you would want to read again and again especially if you need courage to get out of the boat. It's written in such a way that leaves room for God to speak to your heart in His own way. Buy several cuz after reading it, you'll want others to read it also.
GREAT BOOK!!

Summary: Warning: This book could change your life!
Review: This is a book for people like me: feeling stuck in a job you hate, believing that God has called you to much more than what you are doing, but afraid to leave the "security" of the life you have built for yourself. In other words, for whatever reason, you're a "boat potato!" Using the familiar Biblical story of Jesus walking on the water and Peter walking out to him (at least until he saw the wind and the waves!), Ortberg, in his entertaining, engaging style, encourages you to overcome your fears, embrace God's call, and trust that God will work through you to do great things you could not do on your own. Between this book and his previous book, "The Life You've Always Wanted", John Ortberg is proving to be one of the top Christian writers on the scene today. You can't afford not to read this book!

Summary: Trust God
Review: This is a well written book, which helped me to look to God and not my own strength.

Summary: Made me laugh and got me off the couch!
Review: This is an easy book to read, but it challenges you to start stepping out in faith. I especially loved the chapter about caves as a metaphor for those dark times in your life. Remember, God does his best work in caves. He did for King David and he did in the resurrection of Jesus. This book will having you chomping at the bit to start serving God more and more.

Summary: Uplifting, humorous, straightforward.
Review: This is an easy-to-read and uplifting book. It's the type of book that is perfect for reading while at the gym or when taking a "power break" from work or hectic homelife. The scriptural messages are well translated into everyday situations and modern-day themes. Reading it one feels empowered and energized.

Summary: Best book I've read in a long time
Review: This is an entertaining, honest, and thought provoking book. But the best part is that it spurs you toward action, towards God. You can't really read this book and not make some change in your life for the better. This book helped me to get off my spiritual duff and begin to seek what God wants out of my life again, instead of just what I want, and that has made wonderful differences. I can't recommend this book enough.
