Summary: The basis for the MacGregor Clan...
Review: This is the story that is the basis for all of the MacGregor stories. This is the story where Lachlan and Kimberly (Kimber) meet and fall in love. Kimberly is trying to escape the household of her father, who is a mean prejudiced man, by marriage. She has put off looking for a husband for the year of morning after her mother has died. She is thrust upon someone that owes her father a favor to be "shown about". At the same time a poor laird of a Scottish clan is seeking a wife with "plump pockets" to help the clan out of financial trouble.This sounds like the perfect match right? Well it takes a while first off Lachlan is still pining over a woman he one stole while revving, and it turns out to be the wife of his host. Kimberly finds herself attracted to the MacGregor but doesn't want to marry someone who loves another... JL spends a good amount of time in the background and physical descriptions of the main characters so you can see them in your mind. Also, the narrator does a wonderful job with the different voices and accents. If you like romances you will like this story!
