Summary: A funny book!
Review: One afternoon a group of friends by the names of Billy, Joe, Alan, Tom and Billy were playing. Billy was bragging about how he had money and that his mother would let him take it out of the bank especially if it were for a bet. So the other boys bet him that he couldn't eat fifteen worms in fifteen days. Billy said, "you're on!" The boys decide that the loser would pay $100.00 that they would use to buy a minibike. That's when the fun begins. This was the type of book that you can get into deeply. I would have to say that this book is the best book I have ever read.

Summary: THIS BOOK HAD NO PLOT!
Review: I had to read this book in fifth grade with my class. Honesty, who want to read a book in which every chapter he describes what he put on the worms that he ate???? Certainly not someone who's stomache lurches at the mention of mustard and pepper on a fried worm!!!!!!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Now reading it as an adult
Review: This was one of my all-time favorites when I was a kid (I'm now a 33-year-old mother of two). I must've read it 50 times. And we're on the third pass in my house. It's great fun!

Summary: I still remember it like it was yesterday!
Review: My teacher read me this book in third grade. Now I am senior in high school and I can still remember sitting down on the carpet after lunch while my teacher read us this book! I can't believe I still remember this!

Summary: This book was very good
Review: It's about a boy that bets other boys to eat fifteen worms for fifteen days. If he wins he gets fifty dollars. The characters are Billy,Alan, Joe and Tom. Billt really wants to win to buy a minibike. When Billy was ready, they fried the worm and put ketchup, mustard and horseradish. He ate all of the worm. After, he started acting sick. Tom and Joe were Billy's friends. The worm didn't taste bad. Billy coudn't think of the word "worm". So, Tom changed his mindand made him think of "fish", and Billy ate the worm. This went on until the eighth worm. The ninth was two feet long. Billy knew something was wrong. The worm was plain when he took 2 bites, and he knew that two night-crawlers were glued and that he was cheated. They were arguing. The next day, Joe and Alan droppedby Billy's house and gave him two worms wrapped. Billy ate and finished 11 worms. Alan didn't want to tell his father that he lost 50$. Alan played a trick on him.He took Billy to the Shea Stadium, and stuffed him with junk food. They took him to the car so that he will fall asleep. If he slept through the night Billy will lose the bet. Instead he woke up, blasted a siren to wake everyone up. He then ate the last worm. He won the bet by eating fifteen worms in fifteen days. It was a good book but somewhat silly.

My whole class liked the book but none of us wanted to make a similar bet.

Summary: it was an ok book but it wasn't all that entertaining
Review: I liked the book because I thought that that it was cool for a kid to be eating worms but I would never be caught eating any worms.

I think that this would be a nice book for 6th and 7th graders

Summary: A hilarious story that will revolt and delight
Review: Billy was the type of person that wouldn't turn down a bet if his life depended on it. Well it kind of did. He and his friends were sitting down when he and Alan made the bet. He had to eat 15 worms in 15 days or else he owed him fifty dollars; However if Billy won he got the fifty bucks to buy the dirt bike from Alans brother. This was a hilarious story that will revolt and delight. He added everything possible to make the taste of the worms better. They tried to trick Billy on the last night by taking him to the carnival and getting him stuffed on hotdogs, cottoncandy, and all other kinds of junk food. Billy wouldn't stand for it. He woke the whole neighborhood to let them no he ate the worm on time. He had to rumble outside with his flashlight trying to find a worm. When he did there wasn't enough time to cook it so he had to eat it raw. In the end he discovered that he liked to eat worms and started eating them on a daily bases for lunch. Like to read or not I no you will enjoy this book. I give it ten thumbs up and recomend you read this for an extra book report or just for your own enjoyment.

Bye, Reader

Summary: Trying to get your son to read? Try this one!
Review: When I was in the fifth grade, I first encountered this wonderfully daffy book (I'm twenty-nine now, for the record). I read it during a summer vacation and I remember not being able to put it down...I had to find out how it would end! If you are having trouble getting your son to read (though some girls may like it too), I highly recommend this book, which features yucky boy type-stuff. You may groan when you realize that your son enjoys belching and fart jokes, but this may be the hook to get him here. Once he discovers how fun reading can BE, maybe you may be surprised to see how much more reading he does in the future...
