Summary: Bit off more than she could chew?
Review: Jude Deveraux's worst is still as good as some people's best, but I think she attempted way too much with this novel. Time travel, ghosts, and contemporary heroes, all for one woman? It was just too much. Also, some characters, like the motorcycle-riding Wendell, were just not believeable. She threw in too many characters, didn't make many of them people you'd like to be or to know...need I go on? I was obviously disappointed, as were some other review-writers. Those who said this was her best novel yet need to read "A Knight In Shining Armor." There is no comparison.

Summary: Again She Outdoes Herself!!!
Review: I have read every one of Jude's books and I must say this is right up there with the others. I couldn't put it down. I was a little dissapointed that Kady & Cole didn't get together, but was just glad that she came to her senses about Gregory. Keep up the good work Jude!!!

Summary: And then the little boy woke up!....
Review: I am so disappointed in this book! Knight in Shining Armor was excellent. This book has more emotion and time spent on food than on the characters. I found the characters most unsympathetic, the romantic tangles unbelievable, and the time-skipping skips a few in terms of emotional credibility. If you want to read wonderful descriptions of food with emotional impact, read M.F.K. Fisher. If you want a romance that has a hero who is not a jerk, (either one), don't read this book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This one is totally different from all the rest.
Review: I usually read romance books but this one grabbed me like nothing else mattered. It was moving and emotional. The twists in it were surprising and captivating. If it hadn't been for school, I would never have put the book down until I finished it.

Summary: could not have been better
Review: This is the 3rd time travelling book that Jude has written and I must say that she improves with every book. I read Legend and could not let go of it at all. It was so engrossing that I recommend my friends to read it over the weekend. Legend is about Kady, a fine example of a self-sufficient lady of our century going back to a time when ladies are dependent on their men for their livelihood. A time when the West was really Wild and law and order is not a high priority; a time when a slight incident could carry on to generations and old sins are not easily forgiven or forgotten. Kady is a product of our age when being slim is all that matters. Fashion and taste changes as the time frame changes. What is beautiful today fades away and turns to dust in another hundred years. Kady has a figure that makes her doubt her self-worth and only through the love of a man who never existed beyond the time frame she accidently 'stepped' into, did she realised how much she has to value herself before others do. In the process of meeting ghosts and time-travelling, Kady had to rediscover herself and what she was capable of; the depth of her feelings, the dream she would realized and the man fate would lead her to.

Summary: I could not put Legend down.
Review: Legend facinated me. You did not know what to expect most of the time. It was artfully written. Legend was a delight to read. The end was somewhat of a let down on the epilogue but I guess Jude Deveraux may have another series in store for us. I for one would love to know about the Jordan family tree and what happened to Wendell

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I loved the book...it took me away from my cares for awhile.
Review: This one a great book. Not only did it take me away to another time...but it made me want to become a chef! The characters were clear and enjoyable. The story was easy to follow and had a few surprises to offer. Going back through time to right a wrong is one of the things everyone would love to be able to do. The only thing is I wish the ending was alittle more clear. If you change history, you dramatically change the future. All in all, I love time travel books and rate this one of the good ones

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Pretty good
Review: This was a pretty good book, but not as good as 'remembrance' or 'A Knight In Shining Armor' but it was really worth the time to read, although I was hoping to have Jordan and Kady together

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Disappointing
Review: I'm still struggling to make it through this one! Jude seems to be relying a bit too much on the "time travel" theme..."A Knight in Shining Armor" had to be her best novel to date and she seems to be trying to recapture the magic of that story. Unfortunately, the plot line in this one is threadbare and I have yet to sympathize or find interest in either of the main characters. I'll report back when I'm done; perhaps she gets back on track in the last third
