Rating: Summary: Once again, Deveraux makes me want to time travel! Review: This new novel of Deveraux's ranks up with her best. She delivers all the neccesary ingredients to make the perfect story; one that lasts throughout time. I felt especially in tune with her character Katy. I too have a talent for the culinary arts, and I too have been taken for granted because of them. What Katy gains from these experiences is something unforgettable. She learns that she is a talented person who not only deserves more than she thinks, but also discovers adventure and her man in black. I have discovered my man in black and I would never let him go. Before such a time in my life ,every Deveraux novel I read made me long for someone like her characters. And now I have him. Now every book of hers brings me nothing but pride and joy. Thank you Jude!
Rating: Summary: One of the best time-travel romances ever. Review: This book is one of the best and unpredictable romances I ever read. It was very refreshing and a break from the masses out there. If you do like time-travel romances you have it. It was my first book by Ms. Deveraux now I have started collecting every book she ever wrote.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant!!! Review: I did not put this novel down until I was done. That is how good this book is. It was so wonderful a story with so many twists and turns, I was enthralled. It was so wonderfully unpredictable, it was refreshing. It is hard to find a well written time-travel romance and this is one of the best. I recommend it highly to anyone with a passion for time-travel romance like I do.
Rating: Summary: Strange Review: I am a devoted jude fan, but this book wasn't definitely to her usual style. It was completely confusing and a bit boring. The characters are a strange and the whole book somehow unsatisfiying. If this is your first Jude book, don't be put off, usually she is a great writer.
Rating: Summary: An ok read, but lacking when compared to a Knight/Armor Review: I started Ledgend fully expecting it to be a no put downer like the previous Knight/Armor. I was sadly disapointed. The book was not only confusing, but it seemed to jump from one story line to another and dragged in a lot of places. I definitly think that Jude Deveraux can do a lot better. All in all it wasn't a bad book, just not my first choice of an exciting time travel.
Rating: Summary: one of the finest romances o have read! Review: One may call me a romantic or even a hoplessly dreamy girl but i would certainly say that Legend is the one of the finest romances i have read. I think that is quite a statement as i have read quite a few, even at the age og 18. Legend was the only book which satisfied my desire for a truly romantic, heartbraking love story that spans over centuries. It was the first Jude Deveraux i had read , and now i am on my way to collecting all her novels. I can boast of a collection of 11 novels (over the last 9 months). Only 'Mariana' by Susanah Kearsley can possibly match up to this book, or Ms. Deverauxs' own "Knight in Shining Armour"Roshni Awtani
Rating: Summary: most crazy book ever writen..but a no put down Review: Jude have a way of creating a story...even if you dont like it you always have to finish it..Legend is really confusing..but yet i love it ..hey i dont know how to write a review or what ever..i just like to say that when i read a Jude Deveraux I feel like i am that person..Like Kady..i Feel like im Kady..but she was lucky..she found her veil guy...unlike me.....Jade
Rating: Summary: Jude Deveraux outdid herself on this book ! WONDERFUL ! Review: This book made me want to go to Colorado and look for those Native American symbols to back to the idealized Legend ! I have always loved the idea of time travel, and this one was so very special...and Kady was so REAL, you just had to feel as if you knew her. She wasn't tall and lanky, like a model, but small like most of us ! It made me feel as if those of us under 5'8" can be beautiful too !
Rating: Summary: time travel at it's best Review: This was my first Jude Deveraux book. I love books on time travel and this was the tops. The characters came alive for me. I started reading this book and did'nt put it down until I finished. Then I rushed out and bought A Knight in Shining Armor but it wasn't as good, but it was ok. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted to escape for a few hours. It's tops on my list.
Rating: Summary: Not bad ; not great......... Review: I personally didn't find much to draw me to the main character, or find that she had much substance. She knew how to cook, she let people push her around. I have to say I did enjoy the story until Kady met Ruth. Up until then, I felt the story was at least progressing steadily. After that meeting, however, the story became unclear, and the plot confusing. There were times when I thought the sentence structure was too simple to fully support the detail.I found some of the characters unbelieveable and not needed; Debbie and Wendell, for example. I also think Kady did the whole " get away from me , no wait...I love you " thing way too many times. I was disappointed to find hints of " Rememberance ", in which I was truly let down. Overall, I thought " Legend " was so-so. It will come in handy if I ever need to prepare a rattlesnake for lunch. I might read another Jude Deveraux book, I might not.
