Summary: SLOW
Review: Nora, if you read this.....I have read most of your books. They are all great and this one is OK too but; it is slow on action, rather short on story and long on description. I have been there & you did a wonderful job on telling us about green Ireland....over and over and over. Sorry. It got redundant. I buy your books & keep them & I will be buying the next two also, however, the sentiments above are my view on this particular book. cjb

Summary: Irish? I think not.
Review: If you are going to write a book that is the "first in the new Irish trilogy" you could at least take the time to spell the names correctly. Sean is not spelled Shawn, Seamus is not spelled Shamus, etc.

Summary: Irish Fun
Review: Kudos to Ms Roberts for a wonderfully light story set in a beautiful part of Ireland. The story was not indepth like some of her others but it was a fun read with real characters who could easily be found in countless Irish villages. Having been to Ardmore and drove the route from Dublin as a first time driver I found that she has captured the true sense of adventure with delightful humor. Few do it better than Nora! I am thankful that Nora is able to continue to provide her readers with a wide variety of choices, so those of us who read for fun don't need to have feel that each of her stories have to be intense. I say lighten up to those who complain this is fluff. This may not have the emotional punch her BORN IN series has but I believe it to be a truer picture of the people of Ireland. I look forward to finding about the others in Ardmore soon with each new book in this wonderfully light trilogy.

Summary: Mist and Mystery
Review: There is something about Nora Roberts novels that give you a sense of security and well-being. Although this is not my favorite (try The Reef) I enjoyed the Irish setting and found the characters charming. There is a slightly strained subplot about fairy lovers but the chemistry between the two main characters and the evocative descriptions of the Irish coast make up for it. Wouldn't we all like to inherit a cottage in Ireland and meet such wonderful people? This is a good book for a rainy afternoon and a cup of hot tea.

Summary: Next best thing to a trip abroad!
Review: From the first pages, the reader finds herself in the most colorful and delightful of places - rural Ireland. One can almost smell the flowers and feel the warmth of the people in this tale of the real, and the not-so-real. It takes the heroine, with the contemporary values and pressures of America today and transports her to the breath-taking beauty, mystery and myths so much a part of the Ireland of times past. The characters are unforgettable, and the lessons learned are pertintent to us all. The reader hates to reach the end of the book, and hopes for more.

Summary: Nora Just Gets Better!
Review: I love reading her books, and "Jewels of the Sun" was no exception. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the second book in the trilogy!

Summary: WOW!
Review: This was one of the best romance novels I have EVER read. Nora Roberts can spin a tale; she writes so vividly and passionately that you feel that the story is real.

If you haven't read a Roberts book, this would be a good one to start with.

If you are a fan of Roberts this is a must read. It is better than all the MacGregors books put together. I can not wait until Shawn's story comes out, Tears of the Moon.

Sigh.

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: I love the way Roberts used folklore and imagery in this book. I can not wait for the other two to come out from this trilogy! If you have never read one of her books this would be a great chance for you to get hooked, because she wrote this book superbly.
