Summary: This book was O.K. I would give it a C-.
Review: I have read practically every Nora Roberts out there. I usually am enchanted with her work. oops, for a while there I thought I was reading "Enchanted". Same book, different setting. To much detail and not enough focus on Jude and Aidans relationship. The character of Jude is virtually identical to that of Rowan in Enchanted, which I just finished reading. The secondary characters were great. I am looking forward to Shawn and Darcy's stories. The last scene in the bar was disturbing to me. Violence in the name of what? It is still violence. Not a keeper.

Summary: A new Jewel by Nora Roberts
Review: I've always been a fan of Nora Roberts books and this latest book is the best since the Born in Fire trilogy! I love the main character, so many times in romance the female lead falls all over the man, even if that man treats her horribly. In this story the woman makes him show her his love instead of giving into what he wants. What a wonderful story of self discovery and reliance.

Summary: Not her best, but still enjoyable...
Review: Nora Roberts takes the reader back to the glorious setting of Ireland. The dialogue is earthier than in her previous works, but the warmth of her characters still shines through.

Ms. Roberts writes so vividly of Ireland that I am transported whenever I read any of her "Born" series and this one is no different.

Unfortunately, Jude seems to be virtually identical in personality to the fragile, insecure Rowan of Enchanted. Also, her external manner seems recycled from Dr. Griffin in Inner Harbor.

Still, Ms. Roberts is a master storyteller and despite the annoying heroine, the ensemble and setting are delightful. I look forward to reading more about Darcy and Shawn in the rest of the series.

Summary: Disappointed, but still waiting for the next one!
Review: I absolutely love Nora Roberts, but I was a bit disappointed in this book. I felt she went into way too much detail(if you don't like a lot of detail, this book is not for you)and not enough interaction of characters especially from the beginning. I found it did pick up towards the end. I felt she could have accomplished the same thing in a more condensed version. But as always I look forward to the next in the series! Being that I'm a big fan of Ms. Roberts, I would still recommend any of her books. Her MacKade Brothers was the best, I thought.

Summary: A Magic Touch
Review: I have been a Nora Roberts fan for years and I am not disappointed in this outing. Her plot is well developed as are her characters. The dialogue is clean and she makes wonderful use of imagery. I have been to Ireland and Ms. Roberts does a wonderful job in bringing back the sights and sounds of such a beautiful country. For those readers who disliked the mystical angle.. why? Sometimes you need to suspend your belief in things you can only see and touch. After all what is faith? The belief in something we can't see or prove to be true. We are still learning so much about our world, someday we may discover that fairies, elves and other types of "magic" really do exist...for now we will have to make do with authors whose writing is so good she helps us believe in the magic even for the space of those few hundred pages. Bravo

Summary: One of the best books I have read this year
Review: I just finished Jewels of the Sun and loved it. I couldn't put it down. You really had the feel that you were in Ireland. I loved the idea of the faries. One of her best yet. Can not wait for Shawn and Darcy's stories.

Summary: This is one of her best books. Really kept me with it.
Review: If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read!
Review: I loved this book so much I finished it as soon as I could and passed it on to my best friend. I laughed and I cried. Nora Roberts is great at alternating teary moments with funny ones. There's a lot of great comedy in this book and the description, as always, is excellent-you feel like you're there. It's definitely on my favorite books list. Definitely check it out-you won't regret it.

Summary: The start of another great Nora Roberts Irish Triology
Review: Nora Roberts brings love and magic together with the beauty of Ireland. Although, the love stories old and new are wonderful, what struck me was the strong ties between women in her novel. I think Nora Roberts can bring out the warmth between women friends and family in very believable ways. She shows loyalty of family in this novel and in her previous Born of Ice, Born of Fire and Born of Shame triology. She also shows the kinship of very different women from very different backrounds ... in this I find great joy in her writing.
