Summary: Come on, what's the point here?
Review: Why would an author choose a good story like this, only to give it away from beginning to end? From the author's point of view, was there ever any doubt what Brad was capable of? But who besides the author knew that until there was a murder and an investigation into his character. I felt like I had been cheated and would have preferred the story to be told to the reader in the very same fashion as it unfolded to every person related to the crime including the author. The old cliches, "And this was the last time...., it was the most important case of her life..., never again would she......" Come on, what's the point here? Give the reader some credit, we can read between the lines. And let us have the opportunity to make up our own minds about character flaws and as to how that motivates a person to murder. I found this book totally biased from beginning to end and with no social redeeming value. This will be my last Ann Rule read.
