Review: For an inquisitive and independent girl of 8 or 9, no book could reinforce those essential tools of success more than "Harriet The Spy". I remember forever the comfort I felt as I read on Saturday afternoons about a girl just like me!! It reinforced my sense of self and increased my esteem in all adventures taken as a young girl. Excellent educational read for a future scientist, writer, corporate head, mother, minister, leader of PTA, everyone!

Review: I have read this book several times and enjoyed it every time. The author uses great disription and you feel like you know the characters. The only bad part about this book is that it can get boring, so just read a little bit each day.

Review: This is a cute story for young readers who love to read books. I read it when I was little and now I am 14 and I still love it !! Harriet the spy is a determined little girl with many cases and stories who keeps you on the edge of your seat never failing to find out what happens next !! I strongly recommend young readers to read this or with your parents !!

Review: I found the relationships too depressing. My 8 year old kept asking, "Why would you say/do things like that?" We couldn't get past the non-connection with the parents, the sneaking in to other people's houses, etc., etc.

Review: Harriet the spy is a great book! I read it with my mom and I loved it. It's about this girl named Harriet and she writes in a notebook all sorts of mean things about her friends in it. One day her friends find her notebook and her friend Janie starts to read the mean things out loud. Then they form a spy catchers club and if you want to know what happens next,read the book.I highly recomend it.

Review: In this totally realistic book, Harriet writes truthful (but not always nice) notes about her classmates, parents, cook, ect., until her friends find her notebook and read it. She also goes around spying on her neighbors, and writes it all down in her infamous notebook. Almost every kid who reads this book goes around spying on their neighbors and writting down their thoughts for a while. When I heard they were making a movie, I had no desire to see it because I knew they would change it a lot from the book, and from what I heard, saw, and read, I was right. I have read this book at least four times already, and I am only 11. Take it from me, read the book, it's a million times better then the movie.
