Summary: OUT OF THE ORDINARY!
Review: I got really burned out on romance novels for a while because they all seemed the same.I am really glad I took someone's suggestion and tried this book. There was more exicetment than in most romance novels, and the charachters were the best and most original charachters I have seen in a long time.If you want an easy read that is suspensefull and makes you smile, then this is the book to get.

Summary: An interesting book
Review: I liked a lot of this book, especially the hero, but the one problem I had was that it seemed to do a lot of telling of the story instead of showing it which caused me to feel distanced by it. Overall though, a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon

Summary: Another Quick Masterpiece
Review: Anyone that can read a book of Amanda Quick's and say it isnt any good needs to have their eyes checked. This was a wonderful novel that had me enthralled in the witty and secretive plot. I thought it was excellent as is all her novels and have never purchased one only to be led to dissapointment. This was another splendid novel and I can't wait to get my hands on her next attempt!

Summary: Not What I Expected
Review: I was disappointed that the characters weren't fully developed. It was almost like the storyline competed with the characters instead of having the two blend together as a successful novel. I guess this book was okay, but it surely wasn't what I expected.

Summary: Very disappointing
Review: What in the world has happened to Amanda Quick ? I was hoping that the somewhat disappointing "With This Ring" was simply an anomaly, but "I Thee Wed" doesn't even give the reader characters to cheer for. Emma is charming, but we don't really get to know her well enough for her to be compelling. Edison seems to made of cardboard...stiff, unsympathetic and boring. I made the mistake of buying the hardcover edition of this book, but I will not make that mistake with Ms. Quick again. The earlier novels, although formulaic, were filled with great eccentric characters and satisfying plots. This book is not even worth checking out from the library. Sorry, Amanda Quick, but have you taken a sabbatical or something ?

Summary: I don't even want to finish it....
Review: I must say, that this is not a good romance novel. If it can even be put in that category, because there is little to no romance from front to back. Romance novels, for me at least, have to have certain elements:Lovable characters that communicate well and have a strong connection, and a good believable plot line. "I Thee Wed" had none of these. Emma and Edison were boring, flat characters, that didn't get the reader to care about them. There wasn't an ounce on chemisty between the two of them, so when these heated love scenes came about i was like, huh? where did that come from. And as for the plot, well, there is only so much one can say about over done, washed out, dribble. And whats realy sad, is this poor pathetic attempt at a plot line over whelmes the little romance that can be found in there. I do not recommend this book. I don't even really want to finish it. I love reading romance novels, so when it's a chore to complete one, you know that something is wrong. Please stay away from "I Thee Wed", I wish i would have.

Summary: Ick Quick
Review: I had to force myself to finish this. It was my second and probably last Quick book. Emma and Edison were quite boring characters. The drawn-out mystery was over-done and covered up any romance. The romance scences weren't really too romantic. The Vengaraza stuff wasn't too imaginative.

Summary: I Thee Wed
Review: I had to force myself to finish this one. Edison and Emma lacked any character to keep the reader interested in what happened to them.

Summary: Romance... with more
Review: This is my first Amanda Quick novel, and although I enjoyed it, I also had a few problems with it. First, the mystery at times overpowers the romance. Second, the love scenes between the hero and heroine are NOT romantic at all. Maybe they're realistic, but neither one is very pleasant to read.

Other than that, I liked her heroine's neverending quest for a good reference and her heroes unconventional style!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Characters, enjoyable story
Review: I was prepared to be disappointed with the book after reading some of the reviews but was very pleasantly surprised to find that I throughly enjoyed it. I loved Emma who was funny and never at a loss for a witty repartee. She was, like most of Quick's heroines, a practical and self-sufficient person but not quite as quirky as some and therefore more believable. Edison was also a refreshing change from Quick's usual brooding, mysterious heroes and I liked his character. The interaction between the 2 main characters kept the story going along nicely.
