Summary: Excelent start for socially challenged
Review: Contrary to the other fellas I do find it very useful, specially for someone socially challenged. It gives clear examples off real life and definately good pointers. Even for the naturale social person I think this would be revealing because many of us just do things without even knowing how, and can't explain it. For some it's being social, for others it's solving physics problems, go figure. If you're one of those who has no clue as to how to start up a conversation and freeze instead, I do recommend it.

Summary: Everyone can become a perfect speaker?
Review: Every minutes you are talking ,this is the most important part of communication.Larry King, who is on the radio and TV,want to share his successful screct on talking, does he work? For me,his teaching ways are not practical as well.Since we are not someone on the radio and TV.If you just want to know more about a DJ,his own experience is quite intresting and special. However i can't catch what he said easily and apply it in my real life.what is a good communication, can Larry King tell me? NO!

Summary: It's ok
Review: I agree with some of the reviewers below that Larry has talked much (perhaps too much) about himself in his little book. Yet, it's still good to learn from the life of a guy who is famous for his way to talk, right? Sure there are better books in this area, but Larry was still worth his salt in this little book

Summary: Self Promoting book
Review: I felt like I was reading an autobiography about Larry King's rise from obscurity to fame. That's all well and good, but please don't Camouflage the true nature of this book behind a title promoting "how - to". With any book, however, there is the occasional tidbit that you can use.

Summary: Great book!
Review: I liked this book. It gave helpful advice on how to start conversations and keep them going. Larry does talk alot about himself but, people learn by example. I like his examples and his experiences are interesting. I would recommend this book to anybody who is shy and wants to gain a little more confidence by talking to people.

Summary: Worth looking at, understand what this book will help with
Review: I picked up this book because I have a problem with conversations. I have difficulty talking to people if I don't know them very well. That's one problem, but the real reason I read this book was my other problem: thinking of things to say with people I do know. Larry King (the king of talking) addresses the first problem, but not the second. He gives tips and techniques about how to talk to strangers and how to speak in a business setting. This advice is valuable. There were tips that I found useful, but as a whole, this book did not address what I needed.

Fortunately, this was an interesting book to read as King gives examples and illustrations from his own life and career. He explains things clearly and if I would have been reading this to help me converse with strangers, there would have been more value in reading this book. If you are thinking about reading this book for being able to converse with strangers, I would give this book a try. If you are looking at it for my reason, skip it and try something else.

Summary: His show should be better
Review: I was hoping to learn "how to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere" but the book doesn't tell you much about it. Rather, the book talks about Larry himself, his rise and fall... I was so disappointed. I read the book half-way and quit as I don't want to waste my time on it. I guess his show would be better but I'd never watch that anyway. If you are looking for learning something from this book, don't buy this unless you expected to read a bibiography of Larry King.

Summary: very little interest
Review: I was very disapointed. I hoped to learn a lot, found the book to be nearly empty.
