Summary: Wonderful book for anyone!!
Review: As a child my mom would read Green Eggs and Ham to me when I wouldn't eat my spinach or my broccoli or my lima beans or whatever it was that I wasn't eating. The book explained to me that you don't know if you like something until you try it. I still have the copy of the book that my mom gave me and I still enjoy opening it up to read the wonderful rhymes of Sam I am and his stuggle with where he won't eat Green Eggs and Ham. This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book and I don't think there are too many people out there that would disagree with me.

Summary: Green Eggs and Ham, 50 Word Vocabulary
Review: This book is extraordinarily good. This is my number one favorite book. It is the ultimate Seuss experience. Dr. Seuss wrote the story using only 50 words. I recommend the Green Eggs and Ham board game and the videos or DVDs. I also recommend the Green Eggs and Ham CD ROM game by Living Books. I have been reading reviews by customers who like the book and I agree with all their favorable reviews.

Summary: thanks dad
Review: I could write a pretentious and erudite review, but it would be much more useful to say that when I was very little indeed, my father used to read me Green Eggs and Ham all the time... I can remember how much the pictures made us laugh, and how I asked him to read it to me over and over again. I also recall that everytime I refused to eat anything I hadn't tried, my dad would become Sam-I-Am and persuade me to have a taste. I hope this book gets read by parents to children for years to come - especially the ones who are picky with their food.

Summary: School Book Review
Review: To be honest, if you haven't read "Green Eggs and Ham" yet, you're truly missing out. This is a timeless classic and one both parent and child will enjoy. It's a "must have" in your early learning library.

Dr. Seuss creatively uses repetition and silly circumstances to help children learn to read.

Tidbit: "In 1960 Bennett Cerf bet Geisel $50 that he couldn't write an entire book using only fifty words. The result was Green Eggs and Ham."

The simple fact that you are considering this book and reading this review is testimonial to your willingness to take an active part in your child's development. There is no more noble cause and we at GoKidsGrow LLC salute you. All the best to you and yours.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I read this one to pieces when I was little, now my little one is doing the same thing. I always felt sorry for the poor guy, being badgered half to death to eat something as nasty looking as green eggs and ham, but the jist of the story is to try things before you say you don't like them. What's neat is you can bring it back up at the dinner table when little ones don't want to eat. You can just say, "are they green eggs and ham?" It certainly works for us and really opens the door to eating new foods for toddlers. What a great book to help with learning new things too. A library classic that's for sure, and very entertaining. We love it in our house.

Summary: Green Eggs and Ham
Review: Green Eggs and Ham is a very classic book written by Dr. Seuss himself. It is a book that I read when I was probably five or six and a book that was read to me long before that. It incorporates every interesting aspect of Dr. Seuss literature. The fact that he never wants to eat the green eggs and ham, and then, when he does he absolutely loves it. This teaches kids that it is good to try new things, especially food that is good for you. Calling the food green is a good move because things that kids usually don't want to eat are green. Such as brussle sprouts and asparagus and things of that nature.
I love the persistence of Sam. The way he is constantly trying to give his friend the green eggs and ham. Sam soon becomes, Sam-I-Am and the rest is history. They come up with silly rhymes and funny sayings that catch everyone off guard. It starts to get annoying with the repeating of Sam-I-Am, but the more and more you read on the more and more you want him to just eat the Green Eggs and Ham. Everyone knows that it is just food coloring and that everything will be fine. It will be just like eating regular eggs and ham only it would be more fun. I can recall many a time when I would ask my mom to dye my eggs and ham green for my breakfast. I am sure that I was not the only kid to do that. I don't believe that I ever actually got her to do it, well maybe a few times but certainly not as much as I would have liked. The main point is this book is so good that it convinces kids to eat green eggs and ham. Even before the guy in the book, the reader wants to eat them just to silence Sam.
This story is also a great teaching tool for a number of things in a child's life. It teaches kids that although they may not want to eat something they should at least try it and they may find out that they like it, just like the character in the story. This book is a very basic book that tells kids to eat healthy without them even knowing it. In all of Dr. Seuss books there is some underlying meaning that is basic enough for kids to understand and for them to learn subconsciously. It teaches kids how to read and recognize simple words that they can use to build their vocabulary from. Kids do not know it at the time, but when they read the book over and over again it helps them to learn the words in ways they can use them. Not just simply something that they can read but also something that they can comprehend.
In conclusion, Dr. Seuss books are not just a bunch of rhyming words and goofy looking characters, they are also learning tools for young children. Everyone in the United States grew up reading and listening to Dr. Seuss and everyone has grown to love and adore every one of his books.

Summary: I would read it here, there, everywhere.
Review: At an age well over 30, I still remembered this book fondly from my childhood. I bought it for my goddaughter when she was 3 and she loved to have me read it to her time and again. She is 4 now and has memorized the book and "reads" the right words that go with each page. As memorization is a child's first step in learning to read, I have no doubt that she will actually be learning to recognize the written words in no time. As another reviewer said, 5 stars is too little for this wonderful book.
