Summary: AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Review: It's amazing--I first found this wonder as a 10 yr girl growing up on an American post (in Germany)--in the earlie 80's.. I have been searching now for 2 year to remember the author's name. After a good search of never quite knowing I have "somehow" find the book in a antique store or roadside peddler. In the first instant, I am blown away as this magic one again begins to unfold. I have once again become aware of the magic around me!!!

Summary: A wonderful book
Review: I discovered this book as a child and read it over and over. It is the kind of book with magic I like the best---real children in the real world suddenly faced with something quite unreal and magical. The characters are wonderful, the situations funny and creative, the whole book is simply great! You will love it!

Review: This is a great book with appropraite humor and charm. The amazing adventures that Jane, Mark, Katharine and Martha have with a half majic coin. If you were only read one book this spring I would recamend Half Majic!!

Review: This book is great!!! My teacher read it to my class. Every day I looked foward to going to school just to see what happened next. The book is about 4 children who discover a magic charm. It is very exciting and also suspensful.!!!!Age 9!!!!

Summary: Memorable and a favorite for years
Review: I read this as a child and have always loved it. I loved how smart the children were to figure out how to use the talisman. The drawings are also quirky and whimsical. At 43, I'd buy it again.

Review: I read this book originally when I was in grade school - 20 years later, I still have a copy of it. This is a wonderful fantasy where you don't have to settle for everyday things. Once you figure out the logic of the magic coin. My children are now enjoying this book

Review: I liked the book but was sometimes hard to understand. I think it would have been better if he used better word choices. I would like to read more of his books.

Summary: Nice idea, but shallow writing
Review: I was very disappointed with this book, particularly since all the reviews were so good. The idea was great, but the writing was very shallow. Everything happened too fast, the children solved every problem within a matter of seconds (and always by using magic) so you can hardly believe they really learned anything. The action wasn't believable and none of the characters were developed. I wouldn't read it twice.
