Summary: An Unfunny Message
Review: Over and over the baby monkeys disobey their mother and jump on the bed, even after they see their siblings get hurt. One by one they get head injuries, until they are all hurt and can't jump on the bed anymore. Then the mother monkey decides to jump on her bed. I know it's just supposed to be a funny jump rope song, but teaching kids that it's okay to disobey your mom even though it means you'll get hurt doesn't seem right. The mother disregarding her own advice and her children's injuries at the end is just the last straw.

Review: this book - a gift from gran - had to disappear because it caused my active toddler to yes - jump on the bed = nonstop, before the book he never did such a thing, and after i couldn't get him to stop, he and his little sis really got worked up instead of calmed down for bed, cute pics though

Review: This fantastic, destine classic is a must, kids love jumping on the bed, this book shows some consequence, in a fun rythmaticc way, you'll find yorself(parent:) singing this every time one of your monkeys jump(and you know they will, its inate!) on the bed!!!

Review: This is a terrific book. Any book my three year old cousin likes to have read to her more than once is a winner in my book. She's memorized the story to the point that she can recite it even without the book nearby. And she loves the pictures. We have a great laugh and a whole lot of fun whenever we read this book. It's a book that's also been used at a summer reading program I volunteered at one year, and the students thought it was great. They were ages 5-8. This book would be a great addition to a child's library.

Review: This is a very good book this was my favorite book when I was little. It is a really good book for kids, and I don't think that you would be disappointed if you bought it. It is easy to follow along with, and it is even better because it involves monkeys.

Review: This is the first book that my son would sit still for when we read to him. Starting at age 2, he repeatedly asked for the "monkey book"! It's a great story of the monkeys that continued to jump on the bed despite the previous injury of their siblings. Keep an eye on the doctor monkey... He gets more and more exasperated at his young patients and their mother as the story goes on. Highly recommended!

Summary: Too much fun for bedtime!
Review: Yes, this book WILL get the kids trying to jump on the bed. It's a lot of fun, and much laughing is heard whenever we read it. There is a lot of detail in the pictures - I love watching the doctor, and Mama gives us a great ending! I picked this up when my younger son was asking for us to play "monkeys on the bed" (the rhyme with hand motions)over & over & over - my fingers were tired. We've been reading ever since! Have I mentioned that the board book format is a great, sturdy idea? Definately a good buy, and highly recommended.

Review: You have to love the monkeys. My 17 month old does. She will ask for my husband and I to read the book 10 times in a row. She never tires of hearing it and is now learning to do the motions with me. The pictures are great and I expect we will still be reading this one for years to come.
