Review: What a wonderful story! There are little tidbits of Charleston history and I could almost smell the pluff-mud while Lucille was in the backyard at her house while she was mentally going over things in her vacinity. This book covers the complexity of life from Run-away wives to headstrong teens to retirement stress to falling in love with the wrong person to a denied pregnancy to senior-aged romance. And all of this portrayed through the eyes of a seventeen year old daughter. Terrific book......I'm SO GLAD it was a recommendation from Amazon.com. Great story, I couldn't put it down til I finished it, and there again, the author doesn't leave you hanging and wondering about the characters.
