Summary: Great Continuation Of Drizzt's Adventures!
Review: While a good story it is not his best work. Shows the strength's of his characters and some of their weeknesses as well. It is a very believable continuation of a minority's fight to be accepted in society.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT GREAT GREAT
Review: This book was awsome it was the best salvatore book ive ever read it stunk to see wolfgar leave because he is the best character even better than drizzt but i know hes not really dead. This book was sweet i recomend it to everyone because it was a great book and i couldn't put it down and that normaly doesnt happen to me when it comes to books. So that just means this was somthin speacial. I hope salvatore keeps up the good work with the rest of his books.

Summary: Not the best he's written
Review: The Legacy was a great book. Though he should of had the battle of the drow vs. dwarves be a little more one sided. If in seige of darkness the dwarves win against the entire drow army, they should be able to easily defeat 50-100 drow. Ecpecially with the gutbuster.

Summary: Good but not great
Review: I bought this book after reading Starless Night and Siege of Darkness beforehand, so I knew some of things that would happen in this book. I found the battle scenes to be somewhat monotonous and all too frequent. I really don't care for ad nauseum descriptions of the sword/weapon techniques used by each character. I do like the book's characters. Drizzt, Entreri and Catti-Brie are very fine characters. However, there really wasn't much of a plot to this book. I would have liked to see more characterization of Vierna and Dinnin and others in the Dark Elf society. Siege of Darkness is the best of the 3 Salvatore books I have read so far. I probably will not read this book again or at least not for a long time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Must Read
Review: The only books I had read by Salvatore until recently had been the Demon Wars trilogy. I heard that the Demon Wars trilogy was by far his best work so I wasn't sure his other books would be very good. I was so wrong. The Legacy was an extremely well written book and shows that even Salatores earlier works are great. I recommend this book to everyone. I hadn't read fantasy in years and Salvatore has brought me back.

Summary: More Entreri!
Review: I think Mr. Salvatore should bring Entreri up more often. He is so... so... well... cool! If Mr. Salvatore would write a book (or lots of books ;>) about Entreri's life, i certainly wouldn't be the only delighted fan. In this book, for example, the way he cheats everyone with the Mask, is so... annoying. In other words, Great! This is the best book (?) so far from Mr. Salvatore.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I thought it was great.
Review: The way that there was a goblin/dwarf in the beginning was cool and Artemis Entreri just made you want to punch him.

Summary: Not enough of Regis
Review: Regis didnt have his trademark spurt of uncharacteristc bravery I love. P.S. Lynch Jeff Easly!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Battles, battles, battles
Review: RA Salvatore created a monster with the Drizzt character, a monster that he can no longer control. Fans want stories, and as long as he gets paid, he'll probably keep writing them. This can be, for the most part, good. As long as Mr. Salvatore find a plot.

That crack is not to say that 'The Legacy' is a bad read - indeed, it is not. It's simply to say that this entire book clings to one long, lengthy battle occuring. Sure, it involved lots of people, often split up into little groups, and it spans miles of underground passageways, but really...there is little here.

Some passing attempt is made at strong character development, and while several undergo major changes, "development" is not quite the right word. Rather, they go from Stereotype A to Stereotype C with no transition in between. (in all fairness, the incident in the novel that causes all this is also quite sudden)

Not a bad fantasy novel by any means, but not a great one either.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One Great Book
Review: If you liked the Dark Elf Books and the Icewind Dale You will love this one. I thought it was the best be FAR.
