Summary: Brilliant. A masterpiece of scripture and history.
Review: A hard hitting look at the history of anti-semitism and the role of Isreal in the future of God's plans. I must warn you, the history of jewish persecution is not for the faint of heart.

Summary: FUNDAMENTALIST HYSTERIA
Review: After reading this book and watching Dr. Hagee's sermon series 'The Church and Israel' I could not help but notice a number of historical flaws and misinformation. The serious distortions and obvious errors he has made concerning the History of the Catholic Church is disturbing. Unfortunately this work falls into the same category along with the other detractors of the Catholic Church such as radical femenist, Anti-Christian ultra liberals, (so called) Christian Modernists, New Age Agnostics, Athiest, Anti-Christian Zionist Zealots and the lunatic fringe of Fundamentalist Protestantism to name a few. Hmmm....what a strange group of bedfellows ! Sadly enough this book could be categorized with the rediculous and slanderous works by authors James McCarthy, Alexander Hislop and Jimmy Swaggart just to name a few. One has to seriously ponder the question as to why Pastor Hagee feels that trading anti-Semetism for anti-Catholicism is any better and why it would be in his Ministries best interest ? It is true that the Catholic Churches history is not perfect, any institution two thousand years old is bound to have run into a few bumps in the road. Although to be intellectually dishonest by spewing the false accusations and misrepresentations that this man has is shameful. Dr. Hagee needs to stop distorting the facts with the intention of trying to bring down Christianities largest church and at the same time to fill his own pockets.

The vast majority of Christians do not want to see Israel under attack by Muslim terrorists any more than we do ourselves, nor see Israel dissolved as a nation. It is true that Israel is the only true western style democracy in the region and they have been close allies of the United States since thier inception. I would also agree that anti-Semeticism has been one of the most unfortunate legacies in Europe/Western Civilization. Although this does not justify Israel's actions that they have undertaken in establishing their state. Israel does not have a plan of monetary compensation or repatriation of the 3 million plus Palestinians that have been displaced in the name of biblical prophacy. Why is it that Dr. Hagee conveniently overlooks the fact that the Christians of the region have not only been mistreated by radical Muslims but by Israeli Jews as well. The plight of Christians in this region is something that Christian Fundamentalist usually fail to acknowledge. The fact is that most Palestinian Christians have since immigrated from the west bank and Israel since the 1940's. As Christians we need to ask ourselves if the violent uprooting and expulsion of a population (both Christian and Muslim) that has co-existed peacefully with a Jewish population in that region for centuries prior to the 1940's is truely part of God's plan. As Americans this is something to give some serious though to, considering our Government funds Israel to the tune of over 3 Billion anually, including state of the art weaponary.

When it comes to the people that have basically the same views as Dr. Hagee this book is like preachin to the choir, so its doubtful that he has won many converts to his viewpoint. The good news is that any reputable historian would find much of Dr. Hagee's work as either very unfortunate or laughable. What Pastor Hagee either fails to realize or does not care to mention is that his ancestors were likely Catholics around the time of the Crusades and as western Christians our ancestors in Europe were Catholic prior to the Reformation. To say such crazy things concerning the Catholic Church and the Crusades is historically inaccurate and irresponsible. He can thank the Catholic Church for cannonizing the new testament and putting the christian bible together as a single text, that is the very same bible that he refers to every Sunday

If you have some serious doubts about what is contained in this book and would like another viewpoint historically here are some other sources:

TRIUMPH by H.W Crocker III, Warren H. Carrols THE FOUNDING OF CHRISTIANDOM and THE BUILDING OF CHRISTIANDOM. UPON THIS ROCK: St. Peter and the Primacy of Rome in Scripture and the Early Church :by Stephan K. Ray. JESUS, PETER AND THE KEYS: by Scott Butler. THE CRUSADES: THE WORLDS DEBATE :by Hilaire Belloc. THE BABYLON CONNECTION? : by Ralph Woodrow. WHERE WE GOT THE BIBLE... Our Debt to the Catholic Church: by Henry G. Graham.

As Christians we have to seriously consider whether we want to be a part of this hypocritical, doom and gloom version of Christianity that fails to acknowledge its own shortcomings, factual history, not to mention its own theological errors strictly for the purpose of maintaining the illusion. So when you hear Dr. Hagee twist historical fact, grimmace and shrill to the top of his lungs this Sunday remember not everything that he is saying is factual. MATTHEW 16:18-19 !

Summary: A strong advocate of the Jewish roots of Christian Faith
Review: Dr. Hagee's biblical research and perception of GOD's Covenant people, the Jews are definitely the speaking Mind of our GOD Almighty and the Holy One of Israel. Those who think likewise are those who have a faithful heart to our Jewish Saviour, our One and Only Lord Jesus Christ.
Though anti-Semitism started with the early church fathers but it is Hitler who is the one that bring anti-Semitism to the utmost brink. Hitler is a catholic and that's undeniable and the
roman catholic did help him to accomplish the Holocaust project. So it is very right and very appropriate that Dr. Hagee bring these up to the readers and I don't think he's being anti-catholic but just revealing true facts to the world and especially to the catholic world. Catholics may find it
disturbing but face the facts and if it bother you, don't read but don't belittle Dr. Hagee's divine works.
Lord Jesus definitely don't like a Christian who don't face up to his/her mistakes when committed and keep telling Him I have not sin. I highly recommend this book to all Christians and non-Christians who have a heart for our gracious Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Land Israel and Jerusalem as well as His beloved Covenant people, the Jews.

Summary: the author needs to read some history books
Review: First and foremost, The jews did not invent everything on the planet nor are they totally innocent for what happened to them during world war II. Several Zionists collaborated with the Nazi regime during the war as a means to get help in obtaining what is currently Israel. Also Japan and China have very few, if any, jews among them and have managed to do well for themselves. I am not against jewish people ( I know several whom I like), but christian zionists like Mr.Hagee needs to look at all sides of the picture. This book is a waste of time.

Summary: To be anti-Semitic is to be anti-God!
Review: Hagee reminds Christians and non-Christians alike that historically as well as Biblically, Israel is a nation favored by God. To go against the Jews is to thumb your nose at God, Himself. Not a good thing to do for the atheist or believer either one. Most of all, this book should shake any anti-Semitic Christians to their very foundations!

Summary: If you build a bigger lie ...
Review: I am amazed at the number of reviews given to this book that make no mention of the overt anti-Catholic bigoted tone of this thing. Did we read the same book?

It's always popular to stand and wave a flag that says you stand against anti-Semitism and in favor of the Jews taking their proper place in the world etc etc., and that's fine. But, when did it become acceptable to exchange hatred for Jews for hatred for Catholics?

If that's the way you think, you'll love this book.

If, however, you're more than a bit concerned about being spit on by the books not so hidden agenda of Catholic bashing, then you'll be wasting your time with it.

If you relish the thought that you could be an "insider" knowing things that Jesus himself told you He didn't know, then this is your meat. If you can justify telling yourself that you're smarter than the Savior, or at least the author of the book is, then this one will scratch your ears quite nicely.

Summary: Although I respect Hagee, I didn't like the book
Review: I love reading books on biblical prophecy, and respect Hagee as a pastor and writer, however this book seemed to be nothing more than a self loathing book... at least for the first part of it. We should all be horrified at the attrocities the jews have had to face throughout history and understand that they have a central role in biblical prophecy, and I consider myself a very pro-Israel person, but I don't think God wants us to treat Israel as a nation that can do no wrong no matter what they do.

What got me the most is how Hagee stresses in the book that the leading Pharisees and teachers of the law during Jesus' day in no way represents all jews (I agree), but then talks as if all christians have blood on their hands from christian persecution of the jews in past centuries (I disagree). If the Jewish leaders of the first century don't represent the jews today, then centuries old christians don't represent christians today. No one is gonna tell me that I am guilty because of what people who called themselves christians did in the past.

The second part of the book had some interesting points of prophecy, so I gave it two stars, but the first part ruined it.

Summary: A MUST READ FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN
Review: I really thought this book was great, and wonderful in his presentation of our need as Christians, to LOVE the Jewish people and care for them. We DO need to be supportive NOW more than ever, support our countries involvement in Israel!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I didn't realize the Jews were so blessed!
Review: I thought this might be like a "part II" to Hagee's first prophecy book, but it really is an explanation of what has happened and what will happen to individuals and countries who do wrong to the Jews. The Jews and God still have a very strong relationship, as always, and Hagee reminds us that we (Christians) are the Jews' brothers (and sisters). I have told all my friends "You have GOT to read this," and I tell you the same thing.
