Summary: The Carnivorous Carnival
Review: The Carnivorous Carnival is probably one of the most exciting of the Unfortunate Events Series. In this book, the Baudelaires, still on the run, have disguised themselves into freaks, now working at the mysterious Madame Lulu's House of Freaks. Also, one clue...Madame Lulu is the one who uses her magic crystal ball to tell Count Olaf where the Baudelaires are, and she's right every time. How does she do that? I highly suggest reading the book. The Carnivorous Carnival was so suspenseful, I finished it in one night.

Summary: Mysterious Snicket Writes Another Gem
Review: Mr. Snicket does it again! With his hapless orphans Sunny, Violet and Klaus he serves up entertaining humor and edge-of-your-seat pace. Adults and children alike enjoy the gallows humor and witty writing the books offer. School libraries can't keep them in stock and they are flying off the bookstore shelves. Don't miss this 'Carnival'!!!Recommended highly for the age 9 and older crowd. My 10 year old daughter gives it a "one-thousand thumbs up!!"

Summary: Terrific Tale!!!
Review: If you enjoyed the other books in this series I guaranty that you will LOVE this one. This crazy story includes a Lion,a Hunchbach,a Crystle ball, and fake scars.I can't tell you any more or else it will wreck the story but... this story is full of suspense so watch out!

Summary: Lemony Snicket has ended with a HORRIBLE CLIFF hanger!
Review: Horrible which here means most utterly obnoxious(Yes, I realize this is quite OVERUSED)! Anyway, I would immensely recommend this book to anyone who is getting tired of the dense descriptions that they have been reading recently! This would be due to that this book engages the readers and makes them guess and shocked every 5 seconds! The characters(Violet, Klaus, and Sunny) were extremely dull during this addition to the series and were in fact not as fun, witty, or resourceful and seemed just slumped. The author, Lemony Snicket, as usual, uses dull verbs and descriptions and never gets into grave detail as to why the Baudelaires are sad that supposedly both their parents died in a tragic fire, but he usually provides enough sufficent dialogue to actually feel what the person is feeling (rather than when Lemony Snickets writes that they just "said" a certain statement).

The author NEVER provides any type of thought-shot or snap-shot he writes, "The Baudelaire orphans were in the belly of the beast--that is, in the dark and cramped trunk of a long, black automobile." (Page 3) Instead of the snap and thought-shot, "Violet sighed at the uncomfortableness of being cooped up in the trunk of a long, black automobile while being squished by Klaus and Sunny, and scarcely being able to breathe because the only source of ventilation is a few bullet holes in the trunk. Violet wondered, as she coughed into a fake beard that tickled her throat, How are we ever going to get out of this trunk alive? Are we ever going to see a long-lost parent that is supposed to be alive? What is Count Olaf's evil scheme now? And where is he taking us? ..." Yes, I realize that my writing is far from perfect but I believe that is better to have that in the book than what was stated above, you decide! Overall, this is an extremely intriguing book that will definitely get you hooked especially with the punch-line ending! I already want the 10th book! I suggest that you wait until the 10th book is out because it is going to be immensely annoying that you can't find out what happens next!

If you are interested it a more detailed book, I would suggest the Red Wall series, Maniac Magee (and other titles by that author), Holes, Sammy Keyes, and the Tillerman (or Tillermen I'm not quite sure)series by Cynthia Voigt. I would also suggest the author Kyle Mills if you enjoy FBI mystery novels.

Summary: The best series EVER!!!!!!!!
Review: I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!!!!! I couldn't wait until this one came out, and my friends thought it would come out a month from now! I guess I shouldn't have told them that it came out on the 27th because they told me what happened (I told them not to). But still, this was one of the best, and i recommend everybody to read it! It is awesome, and the cliffhanger at the end is too irresistable to not think about what will happen next. I still prefer the 5th book (The Austere Academy) over this one because I read it before any of my friends did. It was also my favorite!

Review: The Series of Unfortunate Events was the best series of books that I have ever read. The Carnivorous Carnival was my favorite of all nine books. It is scary and exciting. You do not know what is going to happen next. You think are they going to get eaten or get found my count Olaf? You are always wondering what VFD is or if one of the parents is still alive. Madam Lulu predicts that you will love this book just as much as I did!

Summary: #9 disappoints as well as keeps you interested in #10
Review: The children dunt seem as smart, witty and quick as hay have been in previous stories. THe new characters are very interesting. As e dont get to see some of our past favs-Mr Poe and quagmire twins. Some +'s about #9-we find out about VFD. The end is so unbelievable...it'll keep u interested in the series as i think the series has hit a little low.
