Summary: Excellent, paradigm-shifting experience
Review: I loved reading this book! It made difficult or even scary accounting principles easier and more compelling to learn. Reading this book helped me change my way of thinking about money, and even compelled me to learn more about basic accounting.

For a young person who has struggled with debt already for most of my adult life, this book gave me new insights about how to prioritize spending, and how to realistically look at so-called assets and liabilities. I have had no previous knowledge of accounting, but this book made it really easy to understand the concept of cash flow, assets and liabilities without scaring me. It also gave me the courage to face my fears about money (or rather losing it) by helping me understand that rich people have the same fears, they just know enough to admit them, and take necessary risks anyway.

I believe this is an incredibly well-written, easy to read book that keeps you coming back for more. My only disappointment was that it was over.

Summary: Inspired to be a Wealth Wizard
Review: For the first time in my life, I finally undertand the power of wealth and the power of self-discipline. Thanks to Robert Kiyosaki, I have created a more compelling future for myself - filled with freedom to travel the world, understanding of the energy of money and how to make it work for me. When I was little, I used to dream about owning a big corporation with 100 employees. Well, guess what? I already have 10,000 employees (all of them named George Washington)! Get this book. Its an easy read and will inspire you to be a wealth wizard.

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read
Review: Kiyosaki has written a page-turning guide to investing, purhcasing real estate, getting wealthy, etc. He challenges you to think and shed your old restricting thought processes, and he shares with you new opportunities. They are so profound yet so simple that you will wonder why we were never taught these strategies when we were younger. Even after years of college and further education, we are still not taught these techniques by our traditional educational system.

Read this book. Your mind will be changed forever, and so will your pocketbook. I have already taken the necessary steps to begin amassing my wealth--thanks in great part to Kiyosaki's philosophies.

Summary: Rich Dad, Poor Dad
Review: Fantastic book. This is truly one of the best books on gaining a proper perspective on money that I have ever read. Robert Kiyosaki will give you a new outlook on how to think about money the way wealthy and financially savvy people do. This book is a education. I continue to read this book over again and have not only learned a great deal from it, I have profited from some of the ideas in this book. A must read for anyone interested in becoming more financially astute.

Summary: Kids Need Guidance
Review: I wish I had a dad growing up to give me this sort of advice. What a different world we would we would have if we all got great advice from our fathers. For those who never got good love/romance advice from their dads, I'd highly recommend The RoMANtic's Guide. These two books could change a man forever.

Summary: Great news!
Review: After work one day I went in to a bookstore, sat down and read this entire book in 2 hours without buying it. I know that that is really unethical but, oh well...:) This book is just as everyone else says (besides those that totally missed the point). It's simple to read and has some very funamental points in it. While I'm tempted to say it's too simplistic, it's not because this book focusses on fundamentals which middle america doesn't even know about.

In fact here in New Zealand we laugh at american culture because you all seem to be in this sick cycle of working stupid hours and then in your spare time consuming material goods like a hungry pig in a trough. That's not to say we in New Zealand aren't financially naive, we just aren't so, erm, hungry as you guys :)

Great news! I'm only 19 with 2 years still to go in University! This knowledge will last me a life time, and I can also refer back to it (i will buy a copy soon i promise) :)

If you doubt what others say about this book and you are middle class, trust me - you don't know anything. Buy this book and enlighten yourself

Summary: Risk versus reward...
Review: If your just getting started in investing or have been investing quite awhile I think there are 2 books to definately purchase, this one being one of them and Robert Allen's "Creating Wealth" being the other. I think that Mr. Kiyosaki has done a terrific job of pounding the point home to those of us who are intelligent enough to see what exactly he is talking about. For anyone who thinks that there is a hot tip, a secret get rich quick scheme, or a laid out blue print to financial success in this book...well your mistaken...Robert gives you the tools in his book here to create for yourself unlimited wealth, but its up to you what you make with them. Great job on the book and i'll definately purchase another title as I was really pumped up after I read this...both titles really motivated me!

Summary: I AM A FINANCIAL MORON
Review: And now I am not ashamed to admit it! Kiyosaki emphasizes the need to build your financial intelligence and the absolute importance of gaining knowledge before you invest...reading this book only made me realize that I am in no position to get rich...but this is only temporary...as a mid-twenties young professional, I realize the importance of building for the future, especially with times being as unstable as they are...this book definitely straightened out my mind and gave me a thin, but solid foundation with which to start gaining control of my financial future...Highly recommended..especially for financial morons! :)

Summary: OUTSTANDING! EYE OPENING!
Review: THIS BOOK IS GREAT AND I WOULD ADVICE EVEN PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BEING RICH TO READ IT.FULL OF INFORMATION TO LIVE YOUR LIFE BY.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A classic
Review: If you're looking for a get rich quick book, don't buy this book. If you're interested in thinking deeply about your life and how money fits into it, buy this book now. I am now reading it for the 7th time, and every time I read it, I gain new insight into myself and money. I enjoy reading the negative reviews about this book because I can see just how much people miss the point. The point of the book, in my humble opinion, is WHY you make money and not HOW. Everybody wants to know the "big secret" to making money and getting rich, but nobody knows WHY they want it. The purpose of this book is to show the reader just how much time and energy people spend working for money, paying taxes on it and then spending it. There is a better way. If you don't find this book informative, I'm afraid there's no hope left for you. The point is so simple and easy to understand, I've had to read the book over and over again just to get it into my head. Yes, there are misspellings and grammatical problems, but for crying out loud, if that's the only thing a person gets from this book, please mail me your copy, so I can loan it out to a friend.

In summary, buy this book, read it over and over again and really try to understand what it's all about. It's not about getting rich quick or the easy life. It's about making profound changes in your life and taking a good hard look at who you are and what you want to do with your life. Once you master money (e.g. get out of debt, stop wasting money, get your taxes under control), then your life will take on a completely different meaning. What makes this book so much different from others is that it is a holistic approach. Most books on money are insanely boring because they spend so much time talking about numbers and other "what ifs" that the real, true approach gets lost. Buy assets and not liabilities he says. If that sounds simplistic, it is. Money is not complicated. This book uncomplicates it.

Just in case anybody is wondering, you will most definitely get rich following the advice in this book. I am well on my way. Happy reading.
